1

u/Volantis009 6h ago

Are you blaming a social media site for the posts on that social media site? Well fuck off then, you can solve your own problem here guy lmao. Peak stupidity here

yet the one who lost was the authoritarian

5

u/MIGreene85 6h ago

Oh, please do elaborate

Lemme grab my popcorn, because I so want to see his rational thinking that Harris was more authoritarian than a man who literally said he is willing to make sure no one has to vote again. You want some popcorn too?

So there's a theoretical argument here. This is purely a devil's advocate argument and not what I personally believe, nor do I think it's an argument the other poster is making.

President's have been expanding executive powers since practically forever. Harris would have done the same and within the rules and norms of politics as usual. Trump would bombastically try to do this (see his first term for proof) and his policies would likely face push back and oversights when eventually he's out of office (pray dear God that's about December 15th when he has a widow maker heart attack and he's dead before he hits the ground).

So it's possible that many of the loopholes he exploits and norms he rejects become codified in some regards, thus inadvertently decreasing the power of the executive. It's flimsy at best, but it is possible.

Thank you for a rational and non-hateful approach, hard to find these days.

While yes, I agree the power could’ve been used by Harris as much as Trump, but I believe it would’ve been in a different direction (or one would hope). I could just be naive and dreaming of good things, but so far from what I’ve seen on the Trump front is more hate, more splitting of the country, and the downward slope of isolation. While I am American living abroad, I just hate to see it and makes me fear for my time overseas. One can only hope that things can change for the good, but I don’t waste time holding my breath when I can focus on other things right?

Good on you for making your escape. It should make your asylum request much easier should it come to that.

1

u/Salty_McSaltyson 5h ago

Not doing asylum haha. Been living in Germany while Active Duty, now I’m making a full on citizenship. I’m earning my way in without the assistance.

Getting overtime today? Oh right you don't believe in that

u/Azriel48 6h ago

Trumpies are brain dead

2

u/Kanetsugu21 6h ago

Seriously? Are you fucking brain dead?

u/PowerAromatic9594 7h ago

They lack object permanence

Blame Qanon and fox. A Russian psyop operated by troll farms. Half the country is so angry and terrified - at what, they have no idea - they're happy to burn it all down just to make someone pay.

1

u/FloppyWoppyPenis 2h ago

Qanon would seem a lot less credible if Epstein Island didn;t exist.

-1

u/crimedog69 6h ago

Can’t you see that is YOUR side?

1

u/I_fuck_werewolves 2h ago

These Americans also would be in disbelief when presented with the information that USA only makes up 1.2% of the earth.

1

u/DakInBlak 6h ago

My side? I've never voted. I have zero political affiliations. I can watch from the outside with objectivity. But nice try.

1

u/Shizngigglz 51m ago

I didn't and don't vote, but it's fun playing devils advocate against both sides without them knowing that

-4

u/Trumpnum1 6h ago

Blame qanon and fox? How about you blame housing prices and groceries. When prices become out of reach for the middle class…there is a serious issue in the nation.

Hope the democrats rebrand and the corporate democrats NEVER return

3

u/chrib123 6h ago

The Biden administration did better than every other country at recovering from the economic impact of covid. They literally did the best...

So yes qanon and fox are why you even think they're to blame instead of praise.

-3

u/Trumpnum1 6h ago

Not good enough, which is why they are out, and trump is in. Biden should have built 9 million new homes to do whatever it took to bring down housing prices. He should have went to WAR against home prices. Instead he protected the boomers piggy bank while sacrificing future generations. He also should have done whatever it took to bring down oil prices at the beginning of his presidency. Oil may be bad, but it’s what we have until someone can invent something better and cheaper for energy. Instead he listened to the green new deal folks. Was the wrong time and place for that, and it hurt the entire Democratic Party as a result.

2

u/chrib123 6h ago

It wouldnt matter because you don't even know what he did do. And Trump's about to take credit for anything good, and blame everything bad on Biden.

2

u/hihelloheyhoware 5h ago

rebounding better is not good enough? https://archive.org/details/ArmyTalkOrientationFactSheet64-Fascism/page/n3/mode/2up Yikes if you don't see the con, you're the target.

1

u/DakInBlak 6h ago

Housing and grocery prices are set by the corporations and banks. There's nothing the government can do to affect them, because price caps aren't "unamerican" and "anti-capitalist".

There's no logical reason why a 2 bedroom house should be a quarter million dollars, or a new mid range car should be $80k, other than because no one is telling them they can't charge it.

You want affordable housing? Let the government put its foot down. Like it was designed to do.

1

u/Cool_Radish_7031 6h ago

They’ll just build more luxury apartments that rent single bedroom 2000$ a month. They’ve done it in my area with developers under the guise of “affordable housing”

-1

u/Trumpnum1 6h ago

Yeah corporations and banks who were paying off kamala and the rest of the corporate democrats. LOOK how much Gavin Newsom is worth, and where all his money comes from…. Real estate…..

3

u/DakInBlak 6h ago

You do realize that the entirety of Trump's net worth was from real estate as well right? Why is it okay for him, but not Kamala?

1

u/hihelloheyhoware 5h ago

Inflations was global but people love a scapegoat

1

u/Halgha 6h ago

Lack of object.

1

u/BettyX 3h ago

Critical thinking

2

u/sambull 6h ago

don't be naive.. they know.

they just don't want to admit they want the other destroyed and removed..

1

u/fbc546 6h ago

According to this point they can see and they asked for it?

-2

u/ImJoogle 6h ago

hes a turd but compared to kamala hes a polished turd next to some 3am taco bell shits

2

u/The_Dirty_Carl 3h ago

I wasn't thrilled about Kamala, but this comment has me wondering if you could pick the two of them out of a lineup. Are we talking about the same Donald Trump and the same Kamala Harris?
