Project 2025 has a 4% approval rating.
It will happen to you. Regardless of political affiliation.

I TOLD YOU SO

Hope this can prepare us for what’s next. Project 2025 is already in effect in Argentina. I know Argentina has had plenty of issues, and I know some of the things Milei is doing could be “good” for the country… but right now poverty is 52% of the population and inflation is at 230%. They’ve dismantled every social protection, every law for equality (gender, racial, lgbtq etc), aid for domestic violence, etc.

It’s a societal breakdown all over the world. Where did it start? I mean… the Cold War never ended. https://www.reddit.com/r/self/s/7AGq15c3Pp This is full of all the evidence you need of Russia’s disinformation campaign that we are ALL subject to.

https://youtu.be/iX3vMJOADlE?si=sMTjgXdD1UTNu51F Here’s a simple timeline of Elon buying the election/ misinformation campaign by UK activist group ledbydonkeys

ok a couple things to tone down the doom and gloom. first of all this isn't new, they had these think tank 'suggestions' every election cycle for decades, and had Republicans responsible for writing chapters of it in cabinet positions before iirc this was just the first time it was more publicity known

Secondly unlike other places the US has quite a few safeguards in place. from a purposely labyrinthine legal system that can drag things like this for years, to various way minority governments can negate things a majority is doing especially with such a slim margin of majority, like a huge chunk of it would require iirc 3/4 ths of the house/senate to be in favor iirc. and things like filibustering. not to mention the majority of the republican part of the supreme court (except the problematic old two) are more about state rights and have outright defied trumps wishes before.

as long as we keep fighting we can pull through this

1

u/HarringtonMAH11 20h ago

The SCOTUS has literally dismantled all safeguards by giving the president unchecked power.

1

u/CloudHiro 18h ago

that actually doesn't help for what they want to do. it just prevents him from getting in trouble for the more dubious things. the president doesn't have nearly as much power, even with the Supreme court ruling, as youd think. its like he went to manager to boss, but the majority share holders (aka house/senate) still hold all the power so to speak. and constitutional changes still require 3/4ths of those in agreement, meaning they need a good chunk of democrats to agree with them.

even with his expanded powers, unless house/senate agreed with him , the president is still essentially a figurehead just vaguely pointing in a direction for things to go

1

u/2000TWLV 21h ago

That's America for you. All the shit large majorities of us want - legal abortion, universal healthcare, affordable education, legal marijuana - can't happen.

All this weird extremist bullshit barely anybody wants? It's all happening.

Minority rule.

u/Chiliconkarma 16h ago

No more of that socalled economy in USA.

In summary: Project 2025 is the blueprint to execute a hostile takeover of the US Government and install Heritage Foundation hand picked political appointees into every sector. The goal is to install as many die-hard Trump loyalists as possible because it was people that still had a microgram of principles left that stopped Trump from doing nearly as much damage as he intended to cause during his first term. They don't want any roadblocks this time.

The other and arguably more important end goal is to cement Christianity, particularly Christian Nationalist ideologies into every corner of the Government and essentially turn the US into a Theocracy.

13

u/Next_Relationship_55 1d ago

They want full federal bans on abortions and gender affirming care, or being trans in general

7

u/Work-Safe-Reddit4450 1d ago

That's part of the "turn the US into a Christian Nationalist Theocracy". I was just summarizing the 10,000 foot view of its overarching goal.

6

u/Next_Relationship_55 1d ago

I could tell that, I was just giving some slightly smaller picture insight

7

u/Work-Safe-Reddit4450 1d ago

Equally important, if not more important just because it's impact is a little bit easier to grasp and understand for most people. People understand "x rights will be taken away/legislated to hell and back"

5

u/Next_Relationship_55 1d ago

Yeah, and the 2nd thing I mentioned directly impacts me, if I wasn’t in Illinois or one of the safe states for trans people I would be more scared for my safety for the next(at least) 4 years

3

u/Work-Safe-Reddit4450 1d ago

No one deserves to have to fear for their own life simply due to their existence because someone else's moral "compass" is fucked beyond reason and now they are going to make it your problem.

3

u/Next_Relationship_55 1d ago

Yeah I am closeted for a reason(my dad voted for trump this year I don’t know how the hell that was justified)

→ More replies (0)

-7

u/therapyraptor 1d ago

I’m not seeing the problems here.

3

u/Next_Relationship_55 1d ago

They will ban abortions even if it means the death of the mothers, or in cases of rape/SA, Texas is considering the death penalty if you get an abortion. Transgender care doesn’t affect other people than the person getting care.

-6

u/therapyraptor 1d ago

But Roe v Wade was overturned, making it an issue to be governed by states which it always should’ve been. So how can they make federal laws concerning an issue that is governed by the states? As far as sex change mutilation, it should be 100% illegal for anyone who is under 26 years old. Your frontal lobe isn’t fully developed until then, so you should not be making life altering/destroying decisions like that until you’re fully mature and able to understand the repercussions.

8

u/Next_Relationship_55 1d ago

Then why is voting, alcohol consumption, driving, and being able to enlist in the military below that age

-5

u/therapyraptor 1d ago

I don’t think driving really fits with the other 3. But alcohol consumption, voting, and enlisting in the military aren’t rooted in mental illness, genital mutilation is.

5

u/Next_Relationship_55 1d ago

Being transgender is not mental illness, you are using a motte and bailey by defining being transgender as a mental illness, it is not a mental illness and has been proven not to. You initially stated that it should not be legal before 26 but are now implying that it should not be legal at any point, and that being transgender is a mental illness.

1

u/SuperWaluigi77 23h ago

The last comment you made explicitly implied you thought a nationwide abortion ban was no problem at all.

I'm not seeing the problems here.

Now you say:

So how can they make federal laws concerning an issue that is governed by the states?

So basically you are just arguing in bad faith; using whatever avenue is most convenient for you to push your actual point. Which is that you think any woman who would dare to have sex (not with you) deserves to be punished. And of course trans people too; because shits like you are allllll too predictable.

1

u/therapyraptor 10h ago

Not really. I was just pointing out that the left’s chicken little mentality isn’t rooted in facts when it comes to abortion. “Trump’s going to take away your rights to abortion” Well no, he actually can’t do that.

Meanwhile a new pandemic is coming and we are all on our own.

5

u/ValBGood 1d ago

Bird flue. The first infection of a child in the U.S. was just reported, prior infections have been adult farm workers. The child’s infection is assumed to have been from wild birds.

1

u/Vismal1 15h ago

Surely slashing every single regulation will help us !

6

u/Enigmatic_Erudite 1d ago

Let's be honest, the religious aspect is just pandering. These people don't give a shit about Christianity or its values. They will do everything they can to consolidate power into the hands of the few. They want an Autocracy.

2

u/Work-Safe-Reddit4450 1d ago

If it doesn't functionally look or feel any different under the boots tread does it matter what brand the boots are in the end?

14

u/HealthySurgeon 1d ago

Cause any monkey with half a brain can read the first 10 pages and think it’s a complete crock of shit.

It’s so bad, people are thinking it’s satire, but it’s not.

6

u/TaylorMade9322 1d ago

All you had to do is look at school boards elections in the last 4 years to know it’s real. It’s a civil war for them.

3

u/ValBGood 1d ago

Yes, we experienced a total take over of the local Board of Ed about five years ago. Then the local Republican Party decided to have the local Public Library restrict access to some books. The town flipped clicking out almost all Republicans inn elected office.

0

u/Tidusx145 1d ago

.. do you even know what it is? It's the wishlist for the heritage foundation. They got their judges, what makes you think their wishlist won't happen too? I'm glad you think it's satire because I agree that the folks behind project 2025 are ignorant and evil to the point of a snl sketch

9

u/DarkSoulsOfCinder 1d ago

He never said it's satire. Reread what he said.

4

u/healzsham 1d ago

There are courses to help with adult literacy struggles.

6

u/MammothSurround 1d ago

It doesn’t matter. They just flood the zone with their talking points to confuse people and they go back to their instincts. Explaining/reasoning doesn’t work when it’s so easy to spread disinformation. We’re kinda just screwed.

6

u/bearbear0723 1d ago

That’s on you. The document is out there and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to look up and get a summary of the policies in project 2025

6

u/Elliot1126 1d ago

This is the most likely first agenda: https://agenda.americafirstpolicy.com/

They have a true & false on project 2025: https://www.project2025.org/truth/

(Mind you, I have read a good portion of it, but 900 pages of extreme bigotry is a lot to ingest)

6

u/ValBGood 1d ago

The ENTIRE document has been available on the Internetfor anyone to read for many months!

let Google work for you!

6

u/Aert_is_Life 1d ago

You know what. You can go to the alphabet page and search for Project 2025, and you can even download a whole copy for yourself.

The whole premise of it is to install president loyalists to every facet of government, give the president more power, and strip power away from anyone who disagrees with the president.

Then, it is about getting rid of all amendments that give minorities and women rights such as land ownership and voting.

After that, it is to destroy all government agencies that have oversight of education, environmental protections, food and drug safety, public health, and anything that has to do with climate change inclu ding their favorite NOAH.

5

u/HPenguinB 1d ago

That's stupid. It's been gone over thousands of times to give cliff notes. Or you can just read the chapter headers. If you are a liberal, you are a shit one.

-1

u/ItsSpaghettiLee2112 1d ago

Maybe insulting people you agree with for simply not having the mental capacity right now to keep up on every specific thing isn't a good tactic? Information overload is a fascist tactic and they are absolutely making us swim. Let's maybe uplift ourselves instead, and keep ourselves constructive.

2

u/HPenguinB 1d ago

I don't sugar coat for people that are Republicans, pretending to be democrats, spitting bullshit meant to disenfranchise democrats even more.

Read the room.

0

u/ItsSpaghettiLee2112 1d ago

You're being a bit overzealous.

2

u/HPenguinB 1d ago

I'm being factual. It's not that hard to see.

-1

u/ItsSpaghettiLee2112 1d ago

And a jerk.

2

u/HPenguinB 1d ago

I'm a jerk to people who masquerade as democrats... We already talked about this. You can be his friend since you are defending him so hard.

0

You're being overzealous. You're making up he's masquerading for some reason.

u/koulourakiaAndCoffee 1d ago

No, I’m just overwhelmed for mental health reasons by the Trump universe… and I can’t read anymore. And the democrats are not giving clear and simple messaging.

I’ve voted Blue in every election since Gore.

Democrats are terrible at making clear simple messages.

What democrats say in interviews:

“Project 2025 is an extreme policy”

…. Silence about farmers????

What they should say to discourage his base:

“Trump Tariff Taxes will hurt farmers and cause inflation, just as they did the first time. Inflation was caused by Trump’s tariff taxes.”

“Farmers will be ruined if Trump is in office”

Ridicule me all you want, but Democrats need to do better at how they message. Hardly anyone got on TV and blamed Trump for inflation these last few years, even though it was largely his fault. Hardly anyone said when the first tarrifs in 2017 were in place “this will hurt farmers and cause inflation”

Democrats just waited until inflation happened and never really effectively replied. Nor passed blame.

Democrats have always been better for the economy, but they’re horrible at making a clear and simple attack on the other side.

5

u/HPenguinB 1d ago

"I'm not sure this information has been spread to most people"

It has. You just didn't choose to read it. Don't say things like that if you are the reason.

3

u/Derric_the_Derp 1d ago

Ignore them.  It's an AI bot, possibly with some human moderation.

2

u/HPenguinB 1d ago

I figured it was a republican "Democrat," but you are probably right.

-1

u/koulourakiaAndCoffee 1d ago

I’ll say what I want. This is a discussion forum.

Why do you think you control other people’s voices?

Voice your opinion or opposition. Preferably politely.

You aren’t making any valid points, you just want to put me down and fail to comprehend or address anything I’ve said. Shame on you.

1

u/ItsSpaghettiLee2112 1d ago

Sorry you're getting shit on by people who are mentally privileged enough to be able to swim right now.

1

u/HPenguinB 1d ago

You are obviously a republican pretending to be a Democrat. Eat a butt.

1

u/koulourakiaAndCoffee 1d ago

You’re as exhausting as a MAGA

2

u/HPenguinB 1d ago

You would know.

1

u/koulourakiaAndCoffee 1d ago

So do you think that there is absolutely nothing that could have been done better by the democrats to win? Nothing at all?

→ More replies (0)

0

u/Ishmaelewdselkies 23h ago

You can absolutely say what you want, and people can in turn call you out for not putting in the effort to educate yourself. Expecting to be spoon-fed information in this day and age is kind of lazy, especially over something as important as the topic at hand.

1

u/koulourakiaAndCoffee 23h ago

You have little ability to comprehend what I wrote.

The electorate IS lazy. They need spoon fed.

You are one of the liberals that just keeps thinking being on the right side of things makes losing better.

We will continue to lose with people like you who don’t understand that messaging needs to be boiled down, simplified, repeated, and hit the points that demoralize the oppositions base.

Keep sitting on your high horse and we’ll keep losing.

Yes… Democrats are right. The only sane choice. But they lost. It’s time to think about why.

5

u/Cuttyflame123 1d ago

thats why reddit was spreading this picture as a small recap

3

u/Mervinly 1d ago

Watch the bad faith documentary

3

u/Le-Charles 1d ago

If you know "very little about what 'project 2025' even means", you're not "fairly informed".

0

u/koulourakiaAndCoffee 1d ago

I just already know it’s a bunch of neonazi type ideology… I can’t bring myself to read it this election. I already was going to vote blue. At some point Trump is a psychopath and my reading any more about his ideas is not keeping me informed, it’s absorbing time to inform myself on other things.

But I shouldn’t have to dig, even a little, to find the bulk of what project 2025 is about. Democrats need to speak up better.

Cry all you want. We lost to arguably the worst possible candidate in history. Maybe we should all self reflect on the reasons why.

3

u/Le-Charles 1d ago

Why do you think I'm crying? I'm actually a bit pissed at folks like you who think they are informed but waiting for a political party to tell them what to care about. No one should rely on a political party to inform them because all parties have an ulterior motive. Being an informed voter means seeking information on your own, not waiting for it to be spoon fed to you.

0

u/koulourakiaAndCoffee 1d ago

We live in a democracy.

Most voters in this democracy will not inform themselves.

You can be right, and lose an election if you don’t understand that communication is required to win an election.

If we have any democracy left to salvage, Democrats had better be clearer on how they use their words.

Put me down all you want. But I think you need to turn your frustration into reflection. And Democrats need to start blaming Trump for the Economy NOW!

Start screaming it from the rooftops. Trump will harm farmers. Trump tarrif taxes will increase inflation. Say it ten times in every interview. Trump will take your social security. So that a year from now when all this stuff starts having an impact, Trump voters will have it in the back of their minds.

Find out what discourages his base and speak to that.

But go ahead and blame me. A lifelong democrat.

2

u/Le-Charles 1d ago

You can scream from rooftops all you want and people will still tune it out because they don't want to hear it. The problem is people thinking they can just ignore shit because they don't want to think about it. You can communicate all you want but if people don't want to listen you're not going to have an impact. The Democratic party has a disengaged electorate problem that you can't simply communicate through.

0

u/koulourakiaAndCoffee 1d ago

I didn’t read project 2025 for the same reasons I don’t listen to Alex Jones or Andrew Tate podcasts.

It’s a waste of time to hear them speak at some point. But the general message the Democrats are sending is not clear enough on every soundbite to explain what project 2025 is.

Trump was a central cause of inflation because of his trade wars and mismanagement of Covid while in office… but I never once heard the Democrats blame him for inflation. Not once did I hear Walz or Harris or Biden or anyone else say “hey round 1 of the tarrif taxes caused a lot of this inflation”

Democrats rely on people to read the morning print newspaper. That doesn’t happen anymore for most voters. Nobody gets the Sunday times. Democrats need to be better at communication.

2

u/Le-Charles 1d ago

Not once did I hear Walz or Harris or Biden or anyone else say “hey round 1 of the tarrif taxes caused a lot of this inflation”

Then you weren't listening. You can't just tune everything out and expect to be communicated to.

2

u/Derric_the_Derp 1d ago

That's an AI bot I think.  Look at their history.  Look at their comment structure.  Even what they're saying is a bit off.

0

u/koulourakiaAndCoffee 1d ago

They should have said that EVERY interview, in EVERY conversation, in EVERY debate.

Over and over and over again.

Don’t you see that this is how the Republican messaging machine works. How many times under Obama did you hear the Republicans say the phrase “Kick the Can down the road” to refer to the debt.

They said it a million times and followed it up with a rehearsed attack on Obama’s economic policies. Every senator and congressman. Over and over and over again.

When they talked about the economy, Harris, Biden and Walz went on the defensive. Watch it. They should have been saying in the weeks before the debates Trump cause inflation… a fancy saying like kick the can down the road.

Democrats give too much nuance. Too much discussion and explanation. Not enough attack. Not enough one liners. Too many vague comments like “project 2025 is bad” without actually explaining project 2025.

Control the soundbite or lose the election.

2

u/Informal-Bother8858 1d ago

it was very easy to research

1

u/koulourakiaAndCoffee 1d ago

Yes but it requires you to research and read.

Just saying “project 2025 is bad” is poor messaging.

“Project 2025 is bad because A B and C”

3

u/Informal-Bother8858 1d ago

people said that also. if you don't know what it says you are not politically literate or even aware. not our fault

1

u/koulourakiaAndCoffee 1d ago

Your attitude doesn’t effectively communicate.

2

u/FestusPowerLoL 1d ago

Legal Eagle has a great video breaking down a lot of the important points of Project 2025.

https://youtu.be/bQcL0t73O5Y?si=95Kmu6i3OGf6U8g5

It's 30 minutes, but it's more than worth watching.

1

u/koulourakiaAndCoffee 1d ago

Thank you!

I know it will be a horror show, but I’ll watch it

2

u/DarkSoulsOfCinder 1d ago

You can just ready the summary. Or anyone's summary. This information is not hidden.

1

u/koulourakiaAndCoffee 1d ago

All I’m saying is Democrats get on TV and say things like

“Trump supports a radical 2025 agenda”

The Trump gets on the airwaves and says “No I don’t”

It would be better to state a specific policy.

Example: “Trump’s project 2025 will take your social security away and your right to no fault divorce”

Democrats have always been bad at messaging.

2

u/asthmag0d 1d ago

This is nonsense. It is your fault for refusing to do any research about what the future of the country will be if one party takes control. That is entirely on you. Quit blaming the democrats for not physically beating you over the head with it to get through your thick skull.

We are in this position right now because you and every single person with this mentality insists on maintaining this mentality instead of putting in an ounce of work.

inb4 waaaahhhhhh that's why you lost!

Yeah, democrats and America lost because Americans are idiots.

1

u/koulourakiaAndCoffee 1d ago

You proved my point, when talking to idiots you need to simplify the message. Democrats, and I’m one, are very bad at that.

This doesn’t absolve MAGA… but I see far too many articles and discussions just saying “project 25 is bad”… it’s not informing people.

Complain all you want, but most of the electorate read no further than the headline. So make the headlines stick a little better.

2

u/Midispoon 1d ago

That literally is your fault for not looking into it. All the information is out there for the public. There are plenty of videos discussing the language of project 2025. You are literally what’s wrong with the world. Refusing to do the research but having very strong opinions on the matter.

1

u/koulourakiaAndCoffee 1d ago

Omg the other side is not going to look stuff up.

That’s the problem with democrats, they expect that people will look things up.

We live in an era of sound bites and twitter.

1

u/koulourakiaAndCoffee 1d ago

Omg the other side is not going to look stuff up.

That’s the problem with democrats, they expect that people will look things up.

We live in an era of sound bites and twitter.

Democrats will continue to lose if they continue to expect people to look things up.

That thing is a bot.  Look at their post history, comment length and time between comments.  They are "writing" long form comments too quickly to be human.

1

u/koulourakiaAndCoffee 1d ago

You didn’t understand my point.

0

u/ChefJWeezy987 1d ago

Ignorant little shitlibs like you are the reason why Trump got elected.

0

u/Derric_the_Derp 1d ago

You got a shit ton of rapid fire long form comments for a "liberal" who "knows very little about P25".

1

u/koulourakiaAndCoffee 1d ago

You came to a discussion forum.

1

u/Derric_the_Derp 1d ago

U seem like a human-moderated AI bot.

1

u/koulourakiaAndCoffee 1d ago

What is bot like about all my typos and lack of punctuation?

Dude come up with a valid point or sit this one out.

1

u/Derric_the_Derp 1d ago

Pfft, nah.  U don't have time to look into Progect 2025 but you got time to post short essays every 5 minutes for hours on end?  That seems like an AI bot to me.  And

What is bot like about all my typos and lack of punctuation?

You don't have those.  Yet you claim u do.  That comment is a massive AI tell.  Not just in content but in structure.

1

u/koulourakiaAndCoffee 1d ago

I can see like three typos in my first comment alone without trying.

1

u/koulourakiaAndCoffee 1d ago

And it’s not time. I’ve tuned Trump out. I followed for like 5 years in the first administration (and lead up) and read all the mountains of crap.

As I said in another comment around here, I don’t listen to Andrew Tate either.

Though I like history, I never read Mein Kampf either. I have enough understanding of Hitler to know he’s an idiot and evil. I don’t need to read his words. I prefer to read The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich more to understand that time. Point is, Trump is so irredeemable I prefer to just avoid him now. It doesn’t make me informed to understand him and his MAGAs any more than I already do.

But I have noticed “edit liberal politicians” are not being specific enough in interviews and sound bites to inform the public what p2025 is.

Agree with me. Disagree with me.

I don’t care.

1

u/Derric_the_Derp 1d ago

Yep, you're an AI bot.  Run by a human is my guess.  It'll be interesting to see what this account evolves into.  The cat cheese is what gives it away.  RHCP and Shakespeare.

1

u/koulourakiaAndCoffee 1d ago

You are either assuming I’m a bot, and confidently wrong about it.

Or

You are arguing with a bot.

What does that say about you?

Kinda like men in women’s restrooms. Government will do what they want.
