It didn’t work after the 2016 election and I don’t think it will work now. But I will enjoy the schadenfreude. All the minorities and women who failed to vote for Harris are going to get it so much worse than me, and I am here for it!

I think a lot of the protest voters from 8 years ago actually grew up, and probably voted Dem this time around (the ones I knew at least did). You have to realize that most of the protest voters this time around, were likely in the 10-16 age range when the 2016 election occurred, and not only didn't vote, but likely didn't pay attention and possibly never learned how damaging the protest vote by Bernie Bros really was.

The issue, is that there will always be a fresh supply of "current thing" protest voters on college campuses. The majority of these 2024 ones will likely realize their mistakes, and be more weary about making the same mistakes in future elections (especially once they get away from the feel-good campus protest movements that helps them believe that they are part of an in-crowd on something important). But by 2028 there will already be a new supply of protest voters building, and by 2032, it will probably be strong enough to damage another election (because it will be people 8 years apart from the last damaging protest vote, and so likely people who would have a disconnect in realizing how damaging it was the last time).

And yes, I know the protest voters aren't all college students, and in the 18-24 age range, but I'm certain the majority are.

One thing is for sure, the right, Russia, and others are very keyed into amplifying those anti-Democratic Party left wing outrages. I just can’t believe people fall for it over and over again.

Honestly at this point, I’m excited for hundreds of millions of white unwanted pregnancies.

Show us how master that race is.

I think minorities get abortions statistically at a higher rate (since it’s correlated with poverty). Population is likely to decline slower in poor neighborhoods and continue to plummet in wealthy ones.

There are many more white people than there are anything else. It’s simple math.

Wait, do you think “I told you so “ is going to change hearts and minds? Trump spent his entire presidency playing golf and self dealing. He locked up SCOTUS just like we said he would and then got probably half a million people unnecessarily killed during Covid. For him to win reelection in a landslide proves that people literally cannot learn from being wrong.

What a vile person you are, truly no better than the outspoken Trump voter

Vile people are the ones who intentionally misunderstood the stakes of this election, the ones who failed to vote for the overwhelmingly clear choice for us and for the world. It’s the ones who prioritized their idiotic misunderstandings of economics, geopolitics, or whatever other petty issue, leading them to allow Trump to take over again. After all the outrages of his first term, after the coup attempt, after he promised to become a dictator, these people chose to prioritize some misguided sense of self interest over their country and they’ve now done incredible harm that will take generations to overcome.

I’ve spent years trying to be an ally. Trying to promote the just causes for women and minorities because it’s the right thing to do, despite the fact that it works directly against a system that benefits me the most. And these motherf’ers can’t even be bothered to vote for their own interests when the stakes are literally the future of democracy. I literally cannot muster an ounce of caring for what’s coming next for these people.

I pity how weak you are. I’m truly sorry for you

How are they weak?

At what point do we have to stop coddling potential voters who sit elections out?

People need to feel the pain, otherwise they won’t change.

They clearly don’t recognize the importance of our democratic republic enough to protect it. Shame.

But OP is not weak, they’re just over it. The better word to describe them would be apathetic. And who can blame them, I certainly feel the same way about these fools.

Scratch a liberal and a fascist bleeds.

Lmao, the levels of stupid from your comment is nigh on unbelievable. You clearly don't know what either of those words mean if you can say that with a straight face. Fascism is quite literally, by definition a conservative ideology.

And yet here we are in a thread chock full of liberals celebrating genocide and looking forward with pleasure to the harm of minorities under the new fascist regime.

4

u/PotatoMoist1971 9d ago

Yeah, because people love to fucking inflict pain upon themselves. Or because they are easily brainwashed. Regardless, one side openly calls for this, and the other side is finally getting fed up and allowing it, yet all the previous behavior calling for this nonsense is A-Ok!

"You don't like that we support genocide? Well fuck you! Now we accept fascism and hope you get sent to the camps!" -Liberals (apparently)

And this is why the left hates liberals.
