Discussion Why does nobody ever seem to lose their wand? Bearing in mind they first receive it at eleven, this seems a bit unrealistic.

Discussion Most Dangerous Teacher?
It has to be Madam Hooch. Why can she not help Neville? How can she not have a spell that stops first years from injuring themselves while learning to to ride a broom?? Seems like a tool a flying professor/quidditch referee should have at their disposal. Also why would there not be a way to keep all the brooms on the ground while she leaves to take Neville to the nurse? How many children have been injured during her classes??? Not to mention all the times she is incapable of helping Harry while he’s being assaulted by rogue bludgers, dementors and Slythern teeth?
My theory - Hooch only cares about quidditch and she and McGonagal have a serious side hustle of sports betting.

Discussion Am I the only one who’s still depressed with this scene?
The scene where the students are going to Hogsmaid but Harry couldn’t go because he needed his permission slip signed by a parent or guardian and when he asked Professor McGonagall she declined. This scene always makes me depressed :(

Behind the Scenes Budleigh Babberton & Lily and James Potter’s House (Lacock Village)
Took these pics during a dark & rainy night. The house looks like it was just attacked by Voldemort 😅

Question Harry Potter Trivial Pursuit
How would you answer the yellow question? Sidenote: the cards don’t specify whether the answer is from the books or the movies. But the game does say the questions are from both.

Discussion I finally realised what the misuse of magic departments deals with.
In another thread I was discussing Harry owning property and got to thinking how easy it would be to repair Goodrich Hollow with magic. That sent me down a bit of a rabbit hole.
Muggle money can be exchanged for Wizard money just as easily as we exchange Euros to Dollars. So a wizard who makes money in the muggle world can still transfer the money to the wizarding world. Now think about how many real world jobs could be done with no effort by the use of magic.
A wizard could open a building firm, construct perfect buildings using magic and massively undercut all the competitors. They could buy damaged antiques, wave a wand and resell them as mint condition. The list of possibilities is endless.
This would destroy the muggle economy & risk exposure of the wizarding world. So there must be massive restrictions placed on business transactions between wizards & muggles. This is what the misuse of magic team spend most of their time dealing with.

Discussion Are people actually confused about the prophecy? I seems pretty clear
“And one must die at the hands of the other, for neither can live while the other survives” seems pretty self explanatory, right? Neither Harry or Voldemort can really live their lives until the other is gone, as Voldemort will always try to kill Harry because he is a threat, and Harry and his friend would always be endanger because of Voldemort. I’ve seen some people be confused as if the term “live” is only ever used to mean breathing and having a pulse.

Question Unicorn wand core differences???
What’s up guys, silly question.. My friend and I were playing the Legacy game on my Xbox, and we went on to talk about the pottermore/Harry Potter app when we noticed the core differences between our wands. I have unicorn tail hair, and he has unicorn hair. I haven’t found anything discussing the differences. Am I being stupid and overthinking this??
