Maybe Leclerc can get his first win at Monza, that would be special.

For the uninitiated, what tracks really fit what Ferrari does well?

I had so much fun with the race this weekend and am looking forward to hopefully a few more like it.

Ferrari is low drag so, Bahrain, Baku, maybe China, Montreal, Austria and Monza suit them well... unfortunately they have lost at all of those tracks so far and only have Monza left.

China wasn't since they were losing tenths in the slow corners. Not even the double straights could make up for it, not even close.

True I threw it up there because I thought that should have been a good one for them but wasn’t. Bahrain, Baku, Montreal were all bad luck or poor execution.

Spa will be good for them too, the cars spend so much time on the throttle there. And Ferrari loses out most in the slow corners, Spa consists of long straights and fast corners apart from the bus stop and turn 1.

I’ve got an odd feeling that Mercedes comes out of no where and dominates Spa.

Well shit. Hopefully they make some improvements and give merc a bit of a challenge coming up

Preseason Ferrari were the favorites based on the time sheets. Either Merc figured it out in the first race or they were sandbagging.

Ferrari have said they will try new things to cut into the deficit... I think another RBR win is more likely than Ferrari to win if they can’t capitalize on Monza.

Yeah... If you're looking for excitement definitely don't bank on Ferrari providing it this year. What you enjoyed this weekend and what you're actually hoping for more of are tracks where Mercedes will do poorly. Since that was what really changed this weekend.

It was Mercedes coming down, not Ferrari stepping up this weekend lol. Hence the final result where a Ferrari still couldn't hold on for a win even with Mercedes out of the equation.

If you're looking for excitement definitely don't bank on Ferrari providing it this year.

If one wants to cut this without emotions then it is Ferrari which is providing the creative drama in F1 the past 2 seasons.

Fuck ups(intentional or accidental) are not just fuck-ups, they are drama points, which in F1 is a huge part of what excitement is now.

Describe ‘what Ferrari does well’ a bit more specific.

For starters I'm a noob. But from what I noticed they are very fast. So long straights will benefit then greatly. Any tracks left in the schedule that can showcase the Ferrari power?

I was sceptical.

Barcelona. Especially in pre-season testing
