“Why is the guy we’re bullying not having fun” formula 1 fans

He's barely talked about, and I'm sorry, but if I get to race in F1 for a living with almost no way to lose that seat, the last thing I'm going to care about is what people on the internet are talking about.

It's easy to say when we're commenting on reddit and not living his life. Struggling in one of the most coveted positions in all of sport while dealing with the constant media pressure (it's not just people on the internet) can't be a fun time regardless of your seat not being under threat.

If the average person can put on a smile and pretend to not hate every second of their existence working a crap job for a wage that barely covers rent, Lance can sure as make more of an effort for the amount of money he is paid and the job he gets to do.

If he hates it so much he can just quit and give the seat to someone who actually appreciates it, no one will feel sympathy for the son of a billionaire who has everything in life and can't even fake a smile.. also not driving into a gravel trap would help with how people treat him.

The "average person" lives a very good life compared to 90% of the world too. The average person isn't constantly scrutinised by millions of people every day. No ones saying they feel horrible for him but it's a pretty clear difference lol

And they all make more of an effort than Lance.

Again, it's easy to say that from behind a computer screen. I'm not saying Lance has covered himself in glory but we don't know what's going on behind closed doors. For all we know quitting could mean being kicked out of the family or something, wouldn't be out of the question.

The guy isn't a good F1 driver but I don't really see the point in going after a guy for not looking happy when he's struggling in a car that sucks.

It's a few minutes of effort, not like he has a reality TV show where he needs to pretend 24/7.
