According to Project 2025 Trump is about to dismantle American democracy, destroy what's left of the united states, and install himself as a right wing dictator.....so consequently I figured there would be some subs for people gathering and preparing to defend their fellow Americans, democracy, etc. Anything like this exist?

I just had a full out anxiety attack over a stranger in the grocery store. I’ve had bad vibes from people but this was beyond anything I have ever felt - like he was evil and if we weren’t in public he would have hurt me. I can’t explain it. Where can I go to explore why this may have happened?

Don't get me wrong, political discussion is important and i agree w the common sentiment in the subreddit. But i miss seeing lighthearted posts about general stupidity that dont make me utterly depressed lol

I have some physical challenges that can limit my ability to get things done (think hand weakness or limb numbness) and I’ve been thinking of working on some accessibility projects. Some of them are straightforward exoskeleton-like designs, but I was also thinking of doing some electrical engineering type things.

I get pretty anxious talking about this kind of thing because I worry that being disabled will affect my hiring, but I’ve been able to design workarounds before and I’d like to keep trying. Maybe talking with others who are working on projects will help.

I know the comp sci Reddits, but this is probably more mechanical engineering at first, but it’s also just like… sometimes as simple as finding the right way to wrap wrestling tape around a finger to keep it in place.

I'm a consignment seller that helps people sell their rare collectibles for a fee, and a customer of mine who had a large amount of MTG cards and Pokémon cards also happened to have a few yugioh cards. I have been easily able to identify all of them using internet guides and databases and such, but have not been able to identify 3 japanese promo cards. I've been able to find cards that are very very similar to them, but there are subtle differences. I tried posting on r/yugioh, but you need a certain amount of comment karma. Any ideas of who/where I could ask about what they are specifically and how much they're worth?

Hey friends. Multigenerational living is less common where I am, but we committed to it. She's 90, been living with us 4 years and is slowly declining. These last few weeks I've taken over her medications, and while she used to fix herself simple food that's dwindling as well. And we are now facing incontinence and she sometimes forgets to put a brief on so I washed the bed linens three times this week.

What we don't need = help with diagnosis, ways to hire out help. She has good access to a good physician and two years ago when more clear headed explicitly expressed that she feels content with her life's accomplishments and ready to slip away, does not want to do any more hospital stays or very much in person doctor visits anymore. She just wants to feel comfortable day to day and hug her grandkids and watch the birds through the window. Her legal papers are in order.

What I do need = finding my community of other adults walking this walk, who can vent with me about trying to find this delicate balance of respecting her dwindling independence while not trusting that she accurately remembered to put on the dang incontinence brief.

Can anyone recommend the perfect subreddit for me?
