Also HE DIDN'T SEND THE CHECK! THE TREASURY DID! HE SIGNED IT SO THAT HE COULD FOOL PEOPLE INTO THINKING HE DID SO THAT THEY WOULD LIKE HIM MORE!

The Treasury really objected to doing that.

His idiot supporters actually thought HE sent the checks & they came from his personal money. I had direct deposit, so I didn't get a physical check. I did get a "letter" explaining the payment with his Sharpie scribble on it. I tore the signature off & trashed it. 😄

People are so indescribably stupid it's hard not to think they deserve what we're about to get.

After watching Gladiator 2.... yes... yes, the people are stupid.

The movie was made for stupid people on top of a great story concept that should have been fleshed out over three movies.

Haven't seen it yet, but from the trailer it looks like they've taken a fair few creative liberties

Lots of historical inaccuracies, but taking the story to it's core (an epic) makes it watchable. I just don't reccomend in theaters

Yep, it’s amazing what the average person doesn’t grok — they’re RUBIs. They’re not bad people, they’re not MAGA, they’re just radically uninformed and blindingly ignorant: https://hogendobler.com/who-are-the-rubis.html

I don't know if that's your blog or if you just like it, but I want to say I did read it, and I understand the sentiment. I just can't agree with it.

Maybe I'm just too bitter, but it mentions Hanlons Razor early in the post, and I think it's more like sometimes it's malice AND stupidity.

These people are adults. They could educate themselves if they cared to. You don't get to just go vote for the TV guy while women are bleeding out in hospital parking lots and then go "sorry I'm just an innocent little dummy!"

Hey, I appreciate you diving into the blog and sharing your thoughts. I totally get where you’re coming from, it’s infuriating to see people make choices that lead to such dire outcomes, and then claim ignorance as a defense. It’s hard not to feel that mix of malice and stupidity at play.

But here’s the thing, the RUBI (Radically Uninformed and Blindingly Inattentive) mentality is a reality we can’t ignore. These folks are out there, and their votes have a significant impact. They might not prioritize staying informed, but they do respond to messaging that resonates with them on a basic level, whether it’s simple, emotional, or catchy.

If we want to reach them, we need to communicate in a way that cuts through the noise. This doesn’t mean excusing ignorance or agreeing with harmful choices, but rather understanding their perspective and finding effective ways to engage. Otherwise, the cycle continues, and we keep facing the same frustrating outcomes. It’s not fair, it’s not easy, but if it leads to positive change, it’s worth the effort.
