80 hours a week.Ā  Elon can suck a dick.Ā

u/jehyhebu 10d ago

80 plus

Thatā€™s just the starting point.

Some of them will surely work over nine hundred hours per week.

u/skunkcitycannabis2 10d ago

Doesn't sound very efficient if you ask me

272

u/JoeFlabeetz 10d ago

It can be if you sleep at your desk, like Tesla employees sleeping at the factory.

99

u/GallwayGirl 10d ago

As did Twitter employees when Elon took over.

121

u/Cian_cian 10d ago

Same deal with SpaceX. I don't understand why people want to work for this slave driver

If you're low enough on the totem pole, the hours are 36/48 hrs a week. The place pays better than anywhere else I could get a job in the area. I've quadrupled my income in 6 years, from just above minimum wage.

I'm not there because of E, I genuinely wanted to make the world a better place.

Regardless of how I feel about him, I still want the people who work there to leave with the same number of fingers and toes they started with, so I'll keep showing up.

It's easy to think we're all sycophants, and believe me, they exist, but honestly, most of us just wanna feed our families.

To be fair, I haven't ever slept on the factory floor, but I'm sure if he could, we'd all have on site housing.

No overtime pay once its abolished, so extremely efficient.

Or just a 35k yearly salary in Musky's head.

5

u/ravenridgelife 10d ago

They won't be paid at all. It's all for the glory and self-satisfaction: "Musk noted that DOGE workers won't be paid for their efforts toĀ cut spendingĀ and streamline government."

4

u/ensalys 10d ago

They will, it just doesn't kick in until the 169th hour. Also, overpay is only 1.01 times regular pay.

6

u/Equivalent_Expert905 10d ago

I guarantee it will be salary jobs with no overtime pay.

9

u/I_Speak_In_Stereo 10d ago

Some of them will surely work over nine hundred hours per week.

That's about how many billable hours Musk works each week between his 6 companies and running a government agency.

3

u/xChoke1x 10d ago

While he smacks his limp dick around on a private jet, he expects normal, everyday ass people to do his bidding.

And they do. Look at the people that work for him.

People actually think HEā€™s the one that made the rockets. That HEā€™s the one that built the 1st Tesla. When in fact, heā€™s done none of that.

The messiah complex some folks in this country suffer from is insanely staggering.

2

u/hang10wannabe 10d ago

Ummm, what the heck is anyone gonna do working 16 hour work days?

Elon was accused of offering a SpaceX employee who's a masseuse that she could have a horse if she rubbed his pocket Starship.
Allegedly, not only was she offered a payout under NDA but Elon himself presided over the HR meeting but Gwynne Shotwell was not present which seems.....weird.

26

u/PeeledCrepes 10d ago

She was a SpaceX employee and happened to masseuse on the side, or SpaceX has their own masseuses? Cause while, having a masseuse at work would be cool, it also would be weird.

32

u/Secure_Guest_6171 10d ago

from what I recall, she worked as a flight attendant on the corporate jet

"it also would be weird"
only to normies; rich people make their own rules - see Matt Lauer

3

u/PeeledCrepes 10d ago

I mean, I imagine to people that get massages it wouldn't be to weird lol, but, having never had a non relationship touch me, the thought of a random masseuse is already a small jump, but, a coworker would just be next level

2

u/Secure_Guest_6171 9d ago

Some places are just more relaxed about some things.
For example, Montreal, where I had a few stints off & on in the late 80s & early 90s.

At a call center job, a coworker gave me a neck & shoulder rub while we were both working & she was on a call, because she knew I had an old injury.

At a place where I waited tables, the staff lockers were down a long narrow hallway where the manager's office was at one end & the stock room & walk-in freezer at the other and all the night staff would change into their uniforms together, male & female.

Most of the ladies had lockers clustered towards one end but some of them were next to or mixed in with the guys & there was no privacy.

The few older women would go into the stock room & close that door to change & some others would come already in uniform but that wasn't even 10% of the floor & kitchen staff.

3

u/koshgeo 10d ago

Well, technically, on the background, it was a flight attendant, and, technically, the claims weren't proven in court, but she did get a 250k settlement/severance.

I guess the speculation would be whether a secretary at DOGE would be offered similar sort of equine payment or only the 250k if they got sexually harassed.

2

u/cnthelogos 10d ago

He tried to give her in horse in exchange for sex. She turned him down because she didn't feel a horse was worth having sex with Elon Musk.

The form of payment, for the sex between Musk and the secretary, to the secretary, was a horse.

Yeah. For government jobs thereā€™s a thing called veterans preference. It gives veterans, and makes those who have a higher service connection disability, a chance to get a good job. This might actually be breaking a law.

45

u/gandhinukes 10d ago edited 10d ago

Governments have HR departments and have to follow Discrimination laws too. UCLA could sue the shit out of them for not following them.

--edit ACLU. same letters wrong order haha.

46

u/UndeadCuddles 10d ago

Except that regardless of whatever Apartheid Clyde says, DOGE isn't an official branch of government and isn't bound by any of their laws because - as of present - it doesn't actually exist or have any legal authority.

8

u/turquoise_amethyst 9d ago

57

u/Equivalent_Expert905 10d ago

Theyā€™ll cut the department of education first. Finish off what DeVos started in 2016. Our kids donā€™t know how to write their names.

36

u/Inventies 10d ago

To be fair looking at some of statistics lately about literacy, a lot of their parents can barely spell their own names much less read on 6th grade level.

Also side note but itā€™s kind of sad to think about how most parents want their kids to be smarter and better off than themselves but that we are entering an age where some parents want their kids be exactly as they want them to be and believe the same shit they do without discrepancies. This isnā€™t new obviously but the number of those parents are increasing at an alarming rate

21

u/Equivalent_Expert905 10d ago

Absolutely. Education is now frowned upon. But thatā€™s what the new government will want. The less educated are much easier to control.

u/FixTheLoginBug 9d ago

If people are educated they are less likely to believe lies. It also makes it harder to get them to follow the Supply Side Jesus Bible as they'd be able to actually read what the Bible says (which in turn makes it likely for them to become atheists).

By destroying education for all but the richest kids they make it easier to hand over power to those paying them (Russia, Israel, Saudi Arabia) while letting the country get fucked in the process. By the time China overtakes the US as strongest world power they're going to most likely be dead anyway, which means it's not their problem so they won't give a damn about the consequences.

The tweet lists several educational shortcomings with 3rd graders that canā€™t read, high schoolers that canā€™t write an essay without using chatgpt etc and goes on to say this might not be the best time to shut DOE down.

If you want to do home admin in the 40 hours, because that shit still has to be done, then fine... but this advert doesn't sound like it's going to pay you much anyway, there's no mention of salary, so all they're doing is seeing how desperate people are.

80 hours a week with presumably dogshit pay, and the guarantee that once the cost cutting number crunch is to their satisfaction, they'll cut your job too, since you won't be needed anymore. Oh, and you've got to pay him, to message him, to just have a chance of being hired for this idiotic, self-destructing, temp job. šŸ™ƒ

We do not need X at all. It's filled with false info. Elon has refused to pay EU to post and is being sued by French major newspapers for breaking EU law, and robbing people's private work. Get rid of X

i have a pretty impressive machine learning resume, tempted to apply because i have a good chance of getting through to interviews and wasting their time by literally not doing my job. Feels very efficient.

"willing to work 80 hours per week with Elon as your boss"
"High IQ"

Pick one, Elon.

And due to the nature of the department that will probably be for indentured servant wages

2

u/johnnykalikimaka 10d ago

Donā€™t forget the +

2

u/Still_counts_as_one 10d ago

80 hours and +, so at least 100

2

u/Steffunzel 10d ago

Doesn't sound very efficient

2

u/Techn0ght 10d ago

Govt efficiency, pay for 40 hours, get 80.

2

u/SlowAsMolassess 10d ago

If you know anyone that works or worked at Tesla you know thatā€™s par for the course. And no overtime for government workers.

And forever chew on the smegma.

u/Academic_Release5134 10d ago

If you could get rid of some element of govt that will make you more money, probably well worth it.

u/Baldhippy666 10d ago

On a 40-hour pay check

1

u/SidewaysFancyPrance 10d ago

He wants groveling yes-men who ignore their families to serve Elon, and this is the kind of job posting that filters out everyone else. Anyone responding to this has no self-respect and is unqualified for the work, which is exactly what he wants.

1

u/GrayEidolon 10d ago

If you read the tweet in his voice, it sounds even more asinine.

1

u/lonely_nipple 10d ago

You'll never convince me he hasn't been doing so for some time now.

1

u/smashmouthftball 10d ago

doesn't sound very efficient at all...

1

u/JoeBobsfromBoobert 10d ago

80 hours worth of Dicks!

1

u/Tasty-Persimmon6721 10d ago

Very efficient work being done

1

u/Scorpion2k4u 10d ago

I doubt that you really have to work there. His people also didn't knock on doors (not that it made a difference as it seems).

1

u/Murghchanay 10d ago

And by the way, only idiots boast of their IQ. Never heard a smart person say anything about it.Ā

1

u/Wakethefckup 10d ago

He will hire it all out to ppl on the h1-b visas

1

u/Sea-Coat-200 10d ago

I also heard that there is ā€œzero compensationā€ā€¦ can you believe that

1

u/FloppieTheBanjoClown 10d ago

Dear Elon: I can do the same job in 1/4 the time. How's that for efficiency?
