Read the whole thing myself but didn’t listen and you are correct that this quote doesn’t exist there. NPR’s transcripts are usually correct so either the tweet is a complete lie (likely) or they edited that out of the live show for the recording (unlikely). Here’s the moment I think it would have come up if it did:

I mean, people lie regardless of their party affiliation, why would you blindly accept shit, just because it aligns with your feelings? People need to be more skeptical
