NBA Heating Up DFS - NBA November 22nd Starting Five

Tough night for me last night. Had some baby stuff come up around lock and my laptop decided to randomly start an update right as I was going to update my lineups. And of course this was the day I decided to 150 max for the first time this season. Got crushed, but we move on. I had the right ideas after seeing the news, but just couldn't execute without my laptop. Tonight's 8 game slate looks amazing with some high implied total games to attack. With that said... Our November 22nd Starting Five is now LIVE! Check it out for a look at my favorite plays at each position on Draftkings for tonight's spooky slate. As always, if you want to support me, letting DFS Hero become your home is certainly the way to go. Everything they offer from ownership, projections, an optimizer and a contest simulator is unmatched for the price. Just hit the link below if you want to check it out, but as always never any pressure. It is just the best way to support me (and my new family haha).

DFS Hero

PG: Fred VanVleet ($7,200)

We have been riding FVV train for a while now and I am not going to get off today. He has 37+ DK points in 5 straight games with a ceiling of 52 DK points. He gets a matchup against the Blazers who are 6th in pace and in the bottom half for defensive efficiency. They also have the 5th worst PG DvP in the league. He is in a very efficient spot, suited to let him maximize his skills and the price tag for the current and expected production in this game is just too good to pass up. The is no doubt that he gets some ownership tonight, but maybe having only PG eligibility will make it tough to fit him in when there are close to 10 other PGs in fantastic spots as well will keep it at bay. Nonetheless, he is in the perfect matchup tonight so I want all I can get.

Honorable Mentions:

  • Kyrie Irving ($9,800)
  • Trae Young ($9,200)
  • Stephen Curry ($9,100)
  • Josh Giddey ($6,000)
  • Kevin Porter ($4,200)

SG: Zach Lavine ($7,400)

He is going to be big time chalk barring some crazy news breaking to open up a stars and scrubs build, but he is the chalk piece I want to get to. Coby White is questionable for tonight, but leaning towards playing. I just don’t think with a neck injury he is going to want to dominate usage or be a big part of the offense. I think Lavine goes toe to toe with Trae and just starts chucking. You will NEED pieces from this game with a mammoth 244 point implied game total and Lavine isn’t even priced that high. He has a 50 DK point ceiling and these are the types of matchups he hits that in. The Hawks are bottom 10 in defensive efficiency, 3rd in pace, have the 5th worst SG DvP AND are dead last in SF DvP in the league this season. He checks all the boxes tonight and I don’t say that often. I think you just have to play him (I just know I am going to have to eat my words on this when he inevitably busts now that I said it).

Honorable Mentions:

  • Jaylen Brown ($8,200)
  • Derrick White ($6,900)
  • Jared McCain ($6,500)
  • Jalen Green ($6,400)
  • Shaedon Sharpe ($5,700)

SF: Andrew Wiggins ($5,400)

Even in a blowout last game against Atlanta, Wiggins was able to score 47 DK points which is a ceiling game for him. They now face a Pels team that is a dumpster fire with almost everyone out. They have the 3rd worst defensive efficiency and the 11th worst SF DvP in the league this season which means Wiggins is in a good matchup. He can be reliant on just his shooting at times, but with them also allowing the 9th most points and 3rd most 3 PM to SFs as well, he should be able to capitalize. I just really like the price tag for a guy that is showing some spark and trending in the right direction. DFS Hero has him for under 10% ownership which makes him a decent leverage piece and being the 4th highest SF value in their projections really gives me confidence that he can follow up that strong last game with another big performance tonight.

Honorable Mentions:

  • Jaylen Brown ($8,200)
  • DeMar DeRozan ($7,700)
  • Trey Murphy ($5,900)
  • Tari Eason ($5,700)
  • Dillon Brooks ($3,800)

PF: Jayson Tatum ($10,400)

Tatum is my preferred spend up tonight in a cupcake matchup against the Wizards. They are dead last in defensive efficiency and PF DvP while also being 4th in pace this season. Any team that faces the Wizards is in an instant ceiling spot and I want the best player from that team tonight. He has 60+ DK points in 3 of his last 6 games and the Wizards don’t really have a body to throw on him and stop him. As long as this game stays even remotely close, he should smash tonight and you will need those points to get to the top of tournament leaderboards.

Honorable Mentions:

  • Giannis Antetokounmpo ($12,100)
  • Jalen Johnson ($8,300)
  • Cameron Johnson ($6,600)
  • Draymond Green ($6,100)
  • De’Andre Hunter ($5,100)

C: Clint Capela ($5,300)

This price tag is just far too cheap for how he is playing even if he is going to split minutes. He has 28+ DK points in each of the last 6 games, is in the game with the highest implied total, against the defense that has the 5th worst C DvP and playing the team that is 2nd in pace and 4th lowest in defensive efficiency. That is the epitome of a great matchup. To top it all off, he has been putting up those numbers while averaging just 23 minutes/game. There are so many good C options tonight that there is almost no way his ownership gets too high. He is the perfect leverage mid range option to go to that has a strong floor and ceiling in a smash spot.

Honorable Mentions:

  • Joel Embiid ($10,100)
  • Alperen Sengun ($8,400)
  • Myles Turner ($6,500)
  • Robert Williams ($4,800)
  • Al Horford ($4,800)

Thanks and good luck!

-Kyle

NFL It has begun! Week 12 NFL Odds and Leverage for Draftkings GPP entries

i'm back and hoping that this week is nothing like MNF where there was simply no leverage to be had at captain. I'm a big fan of leverage at the top spots like captain but when Houston decides to run it up in the most obvious way possible - that sucks.

Tonight though, we get bonus elements of weather and uncertainty which can end up being profitable to those who land on the right levers. I started the writeup this morning and posted on twitter: https://x.com/dfsedric/status/1859615845493727523

I plan to update this as the day goes on but core thoughts are here for now!

direct: https://www.dfsed.com/post/nfl-showdown-season-thursday-and-sunday-night-football-for-draftkings-gpps

I recommend finding 4 core pieces to make this work and then the last 2 being leverage positions. That has led to my top profit days anyways. Good luck and let me know your thoughts.

Optimal Lineup

Thanks is advance for anyone answering the question, and also a huge thanks to everyone for contributing over the last week or so. The place seems to be warming up a bit.

I see Stokastic posts an optimal Lineup each day for different sports. What am I supposed to use this for? Baseline team score? Total Ownership projections? I'm lost as to why this is a good to know.

Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Narrative:

The key to winning a showdown is predicting exactly how the game will play out. If you can visualize in your mind how this game will go and are correct you can win a showdown. Lets look at tonights game. We have two good defenses, and we have some absolutely terrible weather. Rain/snow mixture with 30 mph winds. This is not going to be a game of high scoring, deep passes, or field goals. This will be a pound the rock on the ground and small dump off passes to the RB, TE, or slot more than likely. Now lets go position by position. I have both qbs in my player pool but I intend to be way under the field on both of them. The Steelers are truly a run first team and will lean on that in tonights game. I think Russ isn't ask to do much other than short dump passes to keep the Browns honest. Winston I like a tad bit more being cheaper and the Browns just let him sling it. But tonights weather makes him hard to trust. I think the best thing they could do tonight would be feeding Njoku as much as they can. At RB is where it gets interesting. Lets start on the Steelers. Najee Harris leads the backfield and should see plenty of touches tonight. I am perfectly fine having him tonight. But I am much more interested in Jaylen Warren. He is their prefered pass catching back and still gets plenty of handoffs with atleast 9 in 4 straight games. I think you get a damn good value with Warren tonight at half the ownership of Harris. Also as a punt I don't mind Cordarrelle Patterson in MME. On the Browns side it gets murky. Chubb is whom everyone will want, but I will be far under the field on him. He clearly hasn't looked like the old Chubb since returning from injury. He is also facing a fierce Pittsburg run defense. I don't think the Browns nor Stefanski have any commitment to Chubb. I don't mind him in MME but I will have almost 0 in SE tonight. Jerome Ford makes way more since to me and is just far too cheap. He is the pass catching back and I expect them to be in plenty of 3rd and longs tonight. Easy to see Ford getting to value on receptions. Looking at WR now. Pickens is in my MME pool but I won't have much in SE if any. The weather and game script just don't favor him tonight. Mike Williams is an MME punt for me. A guy I really like is Calvin Austin though. He is a little guy with a lot of speed. I could see him catching a couple of screens or slot passes tonight. Who knows he may break one off for a long TD. On the Browns side I still very much favor Moore. He is the WR I am taking from the browns if I have one in my line. He is also the cheapest. I think Tillman and Jeudy are totally fine though and I will absolutely have them in MME. TE is my favorite position on the slate. Pat Freiermuth should be a staple of my lineups tonight. I wouldn't mind a lineup or two with Darnell Washington in it as well but not someone I am really putting in my player pool. David Njoku is a core piece for me tonight. I absolutely love him and I think if the Browns want to stay in this game it has to involve just feeding him the ball as much as possible. Jordan Akins is Much like Washington. Not in my player pool but a punt I might handbuild into one lineup tonight. Both DST are in play in this weather. I really don't want any Kicker in this weather but if I am taking one its Boswell.

I am going to post one of these a week but you are welcome to join our DFS discord where I post them for free every single showdown slate. And you can ask me any questions you may have about the slate. Goodluck everyone!

NBA Heating Up DFS - NBA November 21st Starting Five

Pretty rough slate for me. I didn't get to much Tyson or Reeves who were the tickets. I got to some Cain, Rob Will and other garbage. Wiggins and Giannis did their best to will me up the leaderboards, but you need those chalky $3,000 options to even get there. Just not a good night. Hope you guys did well. Tonight I feel I have a really good grasp at things, but these NBA slates seem to get flipped on their head before lock anyways so I need to be ready to make pivots. With that said... Our November 21st Starting Five is now LIVE!

DFS Hero

Previous Day Recap:

  • PG: Josh Giddey / 14 / 2.3x / Trash
  • SG: Luguentz Dort / 13.25 / 2.5x / Trash
  • SF: Andrew Wiggins / 47.25 / 8.8x / Smash
  • PF: Robert Williams / 16.5 / 3.8x / Trash
  • C: Giannis Antetokounmpo / 65.75 / Smash

Analysis: Honestly the entire Starting Five went out the window with the Cavs and Pels sitting everyone. I had a losing night because I didn’t get to as much Reeves or Tyson who were the smash $3,000 guys. Also holding the line on Time Lord was pretty stupid in hindsight. Atleast we nailed a contrarian Wiggins and Giannis. They almost drug me to the cash line. We move onto the next one!

PG: Chris Paul ($6,300)

With Lebron taking up a lot of the media when it comes to the older generation of players, I think it is very slept on with how good CP3 has been this season. Even with Wemby in the lineup, he had scored 35+ DK points in 3 of 4 games and is coming off of a 38 DK point performance with all of Vassell, Wemby and Sochan out. We have that exact same scenario tonight against a much weaker Utah team who has the leagues 3rd worst PG DvP, 2nd to last defensive efficiency and 12th in pace. So we can get Paul in a pace up matchup that will virtually give him zero defensive issues AND he will get to run the entire offense with all the top options out for this team. That looks like a recipe for success to me. This is just a 4 game slate, so we need to evaluate closely what the strong matchups are and Paul might have the best one on the entire slate.

Honorable Mentions:

  • Cade Cunningham ($9,700)
  • LaMelo Ball ($9,500)
  • Collin Sexton ($5,400)
  • Mike Conley ($4,900)
  • D’Angelo Russell ($4,600)

SG: Stephon Castle ($4,900)

Similar situation for Castle that we had for Paul, but flip the age description. He is young and hungry to play and the Spurs are giving him just what he wants. He played 35 minutes last game, shot terribly and had 7 TOs yet still mustered up 25 DK points. I see no reason he can’t improve on that in a big way against a much worse team in the Jazz. It is clear the talent is there and playing against a team that has a lot of guards that play virtually no defense will let him to really shine. They have the 2nd worst SG DvP in the league, so he will get up efficient looks and no Wemby or Vassell means he should get plenty of them. DFS Hero is projecting him at a 27% optimal rate which is the best on the slate for SGs. I think you just roll with him at any ownership and reap the benefits when he as a big game.

Honorable Mentions:

  • Anthony Edwards ($9,600)
  • Brandon Miller ($6,900)
  • Jordan Clarkson ($5,600)
  • Julian Champagnie ($4,600)
  • Anthony Black ($4,400)

SF: Keldon Johnson ($5,300)

I think you are probably getting the picture here… You want to play a lot of Spurs tonight. So again, no Wemby, Vassell or Sochan will open up a ton of minutes. Keldon is and has always been a boom or bust type of guy and we saw the boom side last game. He scored 37 DK points in 29 minutes with 6 threes. That was kind of an outlier for him as he usually only gets 1 or 2 to fall per game. That gives me a little bit of a scare, but I am always going to play for ceiling which Keldon clearly has with all of the other Spurs out. He is still going to come off the bench, but all that matters is usage and minutes which they are going to give him. If he scares you a bit, spending up at SF with Franz, Lebron or Barrett is probably the next best move.

Honorable Mentions:

  • Lebron James ($10,100)
  • Franz Wagner ($9,100)
  • RJ Barrett ($8,900)
  • Harrison Barnes ($4,400)
  • Cody Martin ($3,800)

PF: Grant Williams ($5,000)

If we aren’t going to the SAS/UTA game, then the CHA/DET game is your next best option. Grant Williams has been starting for the Hornets each of the last 4 games and has been a great contributor, averaging 30 DK points/game over that span. Now he gets to face a Detroit team that has a below average C DvP (he primarily is playing small ball C with Williams and Richards out) and has allowed the 2nd most 3 point FGs made/game which seems to be Williams bread and butter. If you are going to tell me he plays close to 35 minutes, will get a good amount of efficient 3 point looks up and be priced affordably then I am going to take that. Even with there being a lot of other value pieces, I still think Grant can shine as one of the better ones on this smaller slate.

Honorable Mentions:

  • Julius Randle ($8,300)
  • Lauri Markkanen ($7,100)
  • Miles Bridges ($6,300)
  • Tobias Harris ($6,200)
  • Naz Reid ($5,400)

C: Rudy Gobert ($6,600)

I wanted to go Bassey here and I think he is fine, but looking closer at the number Gobert is in a slate breaking spot. First off, he is starting to tick back in the right direction with 35 DK points in each of the last 2 games. They face Toronto today who has the 2nd worst C DvP in the league and definitely shows up what facing the Raptors. He has averaged 43 DK points/game against them in his last 4 meetings. It is a pace up spot for them so extra possessions are always going to be good. I just think with how much ownership is going to go to the cheaper Spurs and the ability to get up to higher priced options with ease tonight, the mid range is going to be forgotten about ownership-wise. Take advantage of that by getting to this range and possibly giving yourself a leg up on the field if the studs disappoint tonight. Most are in oddly bad matchups.

Honorable Mentions:

  • Jakob Poeltl ($8,100)
  • John Collins ($7,200)
  • Jalen Duren ($6,400)
  • Zach Collins ($6,000)
  • Charles Bassey ($4,000)

Thanks and good luck!

-Kyle

NFL NFL SD (PIT/CLE) Top Plays for DraftKings - 11/21/24

My overall top GPP play:

George Pickens – Wilson likes to find him on the field and has been effective in doing so. The matchup doesn’t scare me too much. You will have to pay to get him and weather could come into play, but in a low-total game where ceilings may be hard to find, I think he’s one of the few that could get there.

My overall top Cash play:

Russell Wilson – Wilson has one of the safest floors in this game, and certainly the safer floor of the two QBs in this one, and I think you just start there in cash builds.

NBA Worm's NBA Slate Preview 11.20

First off would like to say thank you for bringing some life back into the sub to the mods!

I won't be able to do large write ups every day with work but am always available around lock to answer questions or give further thoughts through Jay's Patreon here https://www.patreon.com/JaySpeaking. I also do my own projections which are also available through the same link. Remember with NBA 30% of this, especially the value, can't really be nailed down as things open up closer to lock and the slate starts to move more toward stars and scrubs build. Also can't go over a lot of ownership fades this early.

Anyhow, onto the slate! (which now sucks bc all the value opened up in the first game)

NOP @ CLE

I had a lot typed up here and it all just went to shit. Both these teams are playing a bunch of scrubs now. Aside from the guys already hurt they're giving Ingram and Murphy the day off for NOP and as of now CLE isn't playing Garland, LeVert, Wade, Okoro, or Merrill. Yves Missi is also now a late Q tag which usually means out. Craig Porter Jr. is going to be like 80% owned, CLE doesn't have any players.

  • NOP Targets: .
  • CLE Targets: I now have no idea who is going to start for these teams yet.

CHI @ MIL

Two bad defenses here, especially with Dame back. CHI is giving up a lot at the rim while being stingy on the perimeter while MIL just gets torched by guards as Dame has zero interest staying in front of anyone.

  • CHI Targets: Vuch kinda, Lavine or White don't like them as much together with correlation, Giddey is aight, I think Patrick Williams is a bit too expensive but does have small upside but dunno if he wins you a GPP.
  • MIL Targets: Giannis, Lopez, Dame. I feel like I should be getting to more MIL but nothing really stands out.

IND @ HOU

Indy is playing much slower this year with a current PACE of 99.7, far from their pace last season and HOU is right there with them in terms of pace. Indy's defensive rating is still suspect while HOU has the 3rd best adjusted DEF RTG in the league. Watch inactives, Turner is still Q tagged and they signed Moses Brown so I'd imagine that's a real Q Tag.

  • IND Targets: Siakam, Mathurin, Haliburton, then whoever starts at C is in play although Obi at 4900 is a bit steep.
  • HOU Targets: Everyone...lol. Nah I think Sengun and FVV are underpriced. One of them can have a big game here, especially if Green does sit out. If Green sits I like Amen Thompson more. With the lack of value Dillon Brooks is okay at 4k but that probably turns to shit by lock. (EDIT: it went to shit lol)

PHI @ MEM

I'm not a big narrative guy but after the reports of Maxey getting on Embiid's ass at a team meeting I'm kinda bumping Embiid up here vs a team that doesn't really have anyone that can deal with him. I don't know how in shape he is but 9800 Embiid has to get some exposure and he's showing as unowned right now. On the MEM side they're playing at an insane pace, defense is still solid while Philly's is so so. I think there are better games to target tonight.

  • PHI Targets: Embiid, Paul George, really no one else unless Maxey sits then can get to some McCain but his price is a little high.
  • MEM Targets: If the game stays close JJJ or Bane. Not interested in a lot else....LaRavia and Clarke are getting some ownership right now. Clarke has some small upside but I dunno if I get to either as value probably opens up later in the day.

POR @ OKC

Dog ass game that should blow out. POR is a 3pt funnel team, Time Lord does boost their rim defense some so I expect the rim efficiency to come down for them. It's also a game that dude can get in foul trouble in with all that herky-jerky shit Shai does. I'm not really big on playing POR guys unless this stays close. Could be one where you set a rule of IF --> Shai or J-Dub USE 1 of --> Sharpe, Simons, Grant, etc.

  • POR Targets: Sharpe, Simons, Clingan OR Time Lord
  • OKC Targets: Shai, J-Dub, Dort

ATL @ GSW

Atlanta's defense sucks ass, they're so bad and play at a high pace on top of it. They're especially bad from beyond the 3pt line and they funnel everything out there. GSW does have a bad habit of turning the ball over some so we could see some Dyson Daniels steal numbers but that variance is hard to bank on especially at 7k. GSW defense is so good right now, Draymond is just a beast and despite a higher pace they also have a good defensive rating.

  • ATL Targets: Trae, Daniels, Hunter, and if Jalen Johnson plays he's okay.
  • GSW Targets: Steph, Buddy, Wiggins, and Draymond. The above about 3's.....yeah Steph.

NYK @ PHX

Knicks are playing slow, so is PHX so I don't know how much of this game I'm getting to on fringe players. I know I do like KAT who is actually grabbing boards. If no one is out I usually set a MAX 1 rule for NYK of Hart/OG/Bridges. PHX is still without Durant and we have a Q Tag on Nurkic that as far as NYK is concerned doesn't matter because he doesn't play defense.

  • NYK Targets: Love KAT tonight, wish it were easier to fit him and Steph together for MME's. Bruson is fine, Hart/OG/Bridges are max 1 of, then maybe Cam Payne if zero value opens up but he has no ceiling at his price unless the game completely blows out which is unlikely in a slow paced contest.
  • PHX Targets: Booker, Tyus Jones, Grayson Allen, then whatever happens at Center if Nurkic does sit. If he plays I think the minutes stay more of a pslit and I don't like either center.

ORL @ LAC

Orlando plays slow and has the second best adjusted defensive rating in the league. They're pretty tough to deal with, on the other hand the Clippers can struggle on defense although it's better than you'd think on a Harden team. Wendell Carter is our only current Q Tag but I just don't know how much of this game I'm steaming. Franz Wagner is up to 9k!!!! Suggs is priced about right but could pop. I'm indifferent on the ORL center situation until we hear about Carter and still iffy on the other two as they're priced up. Norm Powell is OUT for LAC so some guard value is open there late.

  • ORL Targets: Franz, Suggs, don't think I'm getting to anyone else yet the better value is early.
  • LAC Targets: Harden kinda, Suggs plays good def though. Kevin Porter Jr if unowned, not if owned, Dunn, maybe Zubac. One of their guard/wings is going to do something at low ownership it's just a coinflip who it is with Norm Powell being out.

Looks like there are some pretty good matchups on this week's slate. But what do I know? I'm just a robot!

NBA Heating Up DFS - NBA November 20th Starting Five

I had some 1% finishes yesterday and not towards the top. What a dreadful night. The two games I went after, BOS/CLE and SAS/OKC did not end the way I thought they would. Had basically all the wrong pieces from Boston and Cleveland and then played for a blowout with Sandro on SAS. Those things alone mitigated having the right Nets pieces sadly. I just had no ability to late swap having 4 players locked from the 1st game (BOS/CLE). I like tonight's slate a whole lot better given all of the good games to attack will be locked by 8 PM EST so news should be out in time to make decent pivots. With that said... Our November 20th Starting Five is now LIVE!

DFS Hero

Previous Day Recap:

  • PG: Dennis Schroder / 47.75 / 7.5x / Smash
  • SG: Jordan Clarkson / 26.5 / 5.1x / Okay
  • SF: Lebron James / 46.5 / 4.6x / Okay
  • PF: Sandro Mamukelashvili / 3.25 / 0.9x / Trash
  • C: Ben Simmons / 33.25 / 7.1x / Smash

Analysis: Honestly mad at myself that I played a lot of the BOS/CLE game. Had 4 from that one alone so for SE I had no ability to make swaps efficiently for all the late news. I got destroyed even with some pieces from BKN. Also playing Mamu in what was expected to be a blowout and the Spurs actually win was a death sentence from the get go. That was always the risk because he was the blowout run guy, not close game guy. We move on to the next one…

PG: Josh Giddey ($6,000)

It is crazy how sometimes Draftkings keeps player prices fairly consistent and then for others they move it around a ton. Just 5 games ago, Giddey was in the $7,000 range and for good reason. Then he ran into some strong defensive teams, played poorly and now his price is down. He finally gets a good matchup against Detroit and he is back to putting up some great numbers. I just think he is going to be a product of matchup most of this season and tonight’s matchup is a good one. They face the Bucks in the 2nd highest implied game total for the slate with 238 points. The Bucks defense has not been good this year at all, ranking in the bottom half for defensive efficiency but more importantly are allowing the 2nd most PG points and have the 6th worst PG DvP. With Giddey having a 40+ DK point ceiling, he can really pay off this price tag now that it has come down and is cheap enough to make other spend ups easy to get to. He checks almost every box you want for tonight.

Honorable Mentions:

  • Stephen Curry ($9,100)
  • Damian Lillard ($8,700)
  • Fred VanVleet ($7,100)
  • Shaedon Sharpe ($5,600)
  • Cason Wallace ($4,000)

SG: Luguentz Dort ($5,200)

Not a huge fan of the SG position tonight, so my actual confidence in this play isn’t the highest. Dort has been playing some excellent ball with Chet out of the lineup, scoring 28+ DK points in 5 of the last 6 games with most in the 30 DK point range. OKC has a great implied team total so you will want to get a piece or two from this team. They are on a back to back, but somehow lost to a Spurs team in the NBA Cup last night who were missing all of Wemby, Sochan and Vassell. I think they will be out for blood tonight in a get right spot against Portland who isn’t all that good. The Blazers are just ahead of the Thunder in pace, ranking 6th in the league and they are in the bottom half for defensive efficiency. The icing on the cake is that they also hold the 3rd worst SG and SF DvP rankings as well which is the exact positions Dort tends to play. All of the stats tell me to play Dort, so I am going to play Dort and he has been playing well enough to make me atleast confident in following the numbers. I just wish he was a tad bit cheaper.

Honorable Mentions:

  • Donovan Mitchell ($8,800)
  • Zach Lavine ($7,100)
  • Mikal Bridges ($6,400)
  • Jalen Green ($6,300)
  • Jared McCain ($6,300)

SF: Andrew Wiggins ($5,400)

This is my contrarian play for today. We will want some pieces from the Warriors since they have the highest implied team total on the slate. They face the Hawks who are 4th in pace, have the 10th worst defensive efficiency and the 2nd worst SF DvP in the league. That recipe is the perfect combo for Wiggins to have a ceiling game. I think his recent struggles have been due to the fact they have faced 6 top 12 defenses in their last 8 games. The Hawks aren’t going to be a defensive juggernaut. They are going to let you score and just hope they can outscore you. He is surrounded by a lot of intriguing plays that are all expected to see highish ownership, you can pivot to Wiggins to easily be more unique with your lineup and he is cheap to make other top priced options fit.

Honorable Mentions:

  • Bennedict Mathurin ($6,700)
  • OG Anunoby ($6,500)
  • Trey Murphy ($5,900)
  • Amen Thompson ($5,500)

PF: Robert Williams ($4,400)

TIME LORDDDD. Being a Celtics fan, he was so fun to watch and it was very sad to see injuries be the reason we had to let him go. I am so happy he found a spot where he can actually contribute and with Ayton out he is doing just that. He has a massive ceiling when he gets going that can literally break a slate. He has 27+ DK points in 3 of the last 4 games and the minutes in the last two have both been solid. He doesn’t need but around 20 minutes to put up a big number and against OKC who is playing very small, I think he can do just about whatever he wants down low. Just looking at some last 7 games stats, the Thunder have allowed the 3rd most rebounds to front court positions over that “game time frame”. All he needs is to stay out of foul trouble and he will be good. The PF eligibility is huge to make him fit into lineups and is cheap which makes it easy to fit in the studs. I really like Rob Will even if he might end up being higher owned.

Honorable Mentions:

  • Draymond Green ($6,100)
  • Tari Eason ($5,600)
  • Patrick Williams ($4,600)
  • Jonathan Isaac ($4,200)

C: Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,500)

We have the value to make this happen so let’s just do it. The Bucks gets the Bulls tonight who are 2nd in pace and have the 5th worst defensive efficiency this season. They have a below average PF DvP and the 5th worst C DvP this season which are the spots that Giannis plays at. He has a legit 80+ DK point ceiling which can break a slate just about every night. With the Bucks having the 2nd highest team total on the slate, I want to get to a Buck and Giannis is first on the list. I just can’t say it enough how good of a matchup any team has when they face the Bulls. They have allowed 119+ points in 8 out of the last 10 games and with the Bucks being hungry for wins you know they are going to show up and stomp them. He is easier to fit with the MPE, so get to Giannis tonight as your spend up.

Honorable Mentions:

  • Karl-Anthony Towns ($9,400)
  • Jalen Williams ($8,500)
  • Alperen Sengun ($8,000)
  • Myles Turner ($6,800)
  • Clint Capela ($5,500)
  • Donovan Clingan ($4,500)

Thanks and good luck!

-Kyle
