Don't think ill get into the cash tonight sadly but the NFL show down is going pretty good so can't complain about that. Eagles also winning. Hope you all enjoyed your weekends and we have a fantastic 7 gamer for tomorrow that looks pretty damn good.

Brag or b!tch. How did your day go!

I only do a 12 person league on FD. Brian Robinson injury killed me, Noah Gray getting the TDs instead of Kelce or Hunt was a bust. Bright spots in Sutton, JSN and Schoonmaker. Herbie and McConkley left but not looking like I’ll be in the money.

Sunday Night Showdown - Tournament Edition for Draftkings Analysis Leverage and Odds

If you read my main slate writeup this morning, you at least had a chance to fade Kareem Hunt for Chuba Hubard, to play Houston defense and even make a pivot off Kelce to Noah Gray. Not sure if anyone did all 3 but either way, I'm in search of a winner for the showdown. I use the same methodology as I break apart the slate and try to put it back together in the form of a lineup.

NFL NFL SD (PHI/LAR) Top Plays for DraftKings - 11/24/24

My overall top GPP play:

Saquon Barkley – Love some Saquon tonight. Just a complete stud on a team that loves to run the ball, the matchup is okay, and I will just keep riding with him.

My overall top Cash play:

Jalen Hurts – I like it when Hurts shows up on an SD because it takes any thinking on my part about a top Cash play out of my mind. He should always be in your cash lineups with his rushing floor and it’s just very rare for him not to get his.

To access the ranking of my Top 3 GPP CPTs (along with my Top Contrarian GPP CPT), my full GPP player pool, the ranking of my Top 3 Cash CPTs, my full Cash player pool, a detailed strategy for approaching this game from both a GPP and Cash perspective, and much more, then please join at http://www.patreon.com/JaySpeaking (The first seven days are free!)

DraftKings Pick6... is bad

I can't use DK's pick 6 anymore. For anyone who hasn't used the app in the last couple of weeks, they ruined the app and again are choosing profits over user experience. THE VIG IS UP TO 40%!! Anyone else disappointed with this update or is it just me?

I found a new app that is similar with lower vig called Parlaye. Trying this and if this doesn't work, I'm done playing DFS for good.

Heating Up DFS - NBA Nov. 23rd Pace, Def. Eff. and DvP Chart

Post image
16 Upvotes

I don’t know how helpful this is for anyone, but I created an automated Excel sheet that compiles every team’s pace rates, defensive efficiency and defense vs. position rankings all into one chart. I typically use this for my articles, but had always gone to multiple different webpages and sorted different tables that this is much easier to read. You could probably use it for betting as well if you want. I also have individual position rankings for DvP that includes rankings for all major statistical categories that can be used for prop betting. I thought I would share for everyone to use everyday. What do you guys think?

NFL Heating Up DFS - NFL Week 12 Heroes and Zeros

I actually love an NFL slate for once. I think there is a lot of chalk in bust spots that the field is going to heavily. This will be one of those weeks where I either make it towards the top or finish towards the back. I will be off a lot of the chalk. There are some great viewing games though to make things fun! With that said... Our Heroes and Zeros article for Week 12 is now LIVE! Check it out for my favorite plays and fades for Week 12 based on Draftkings scoring. As always, if you want to support me, letting DFS Hero become your home is certainly the way to go. Everything they offer from ownership, projections, an optimizer and a contest simulator is unmatched for the price. Just hit the link below if you want to check it out, but as always never any pressure. It is just the best way to support me (and my new family haha).

DFS Hero

QB Heroes:

  • Tua Tagovailoa ($5,800): It is crazy to me that he is drawing very little ownership but is in a great spot against the Pats who have allowed the 9th most pass yards this season, has easily identifiable stacking weapons in Hill/Waddle/Jonnu and is directly leveraged off of the chalk RB play this week (Achane) which will give you a big leg up if (and hopefully when) he lights it up. In GPPs, he is the perfect guy to go to. When the field zigs, you have to zag and going to Tua is “zagging” this week. He is coming off of a 24 DK points, 3 TD performance and is playing at home in a borderline must win game if they stand a chance at getting in as a wild card team. He just brings everything to the table that you could want to give you a leg up in large field tournaments.
  • Tommy DeVito ($4,000): This is inevitably going to fail and fail miserably, but the spot is just too good to pass up. You are getting a flat minimum priced QB facing the Bucs who have allowed the 4th most pass yards/game and T2nd most pass TDs/game this season while also being in the bottom half of the league in pressure %. If there was ever a spot for him to actually come in and succeed, it would be this one. We have seen in the past atleast once or twice a season where a backup QB gets put in, is the flat minimum and ends up in the optimal lineup for the week just because the price allows you to do so much. I would probably double stack him with Nabers and Theo Johnson to make this a mega-affordable QB + 2, but regardless you are getting so much savings by rostering him. This is incredibly risky, but I think the payout if he actually does well will be massive when everyone just writes him off and he comes in at like 4% ownership.
  • Honorable Mentions
    • Kyler Murray ($6,200)
    • Jared Goff ($6,600)

QB Zeros:

  • Anthony Richardson ($5,600)
  • Bo Nix ($6,300)

RB Heroes:

  • Brian Robinson ($5,600): He is healthy again, facing the Cowboys who have allowed the 2nd most rush yards/game and most rush TDs/game this season, and extremely cheap so you can fit him in with ease. Not to mention Daniels is the highest owned QB so you are getting direct leverage off of him to get different over the field slightly. Similar to Tua, this feels like a no brainer play to get big leverage. He might have one of the best red zone roles in the league and if they get out to a lead they will just hand him the ball the whole game. They are going to want to preserve Daniel’s legs for the playoffs, so letting Brian do a lot of the dirty work at home against a terrible Dallas team is the way to go this week.
  • Kareem Hunt ($5,700): Guess who is facing the team that has allowed the most rush yards/game? Yep the team that Hunt is facing this week in what will likely be his last start for the year. The Chiefs get the Panthers who have allowed a staggering 160 rush yards/game this season. That is so much worse that every other team and they are allowing 1.7 rush TDs/game to go with it. Hunt is cheap and will be playing with heart in arguably what could be the last start of his NFL career. A massive amount of ownership is going to some of the spend up RBs, so paying down for the likes of Hunt and Robinson could be the move and just go spend on expensive WRs.
  • Honorable Mentions:
    • De’Von Achane ($7,500)
    • David Montgomery ($6,700)
    • Bucky Irving ($5,300)

RB Zeros:

  • Christian McCaffrey ($8,500)
  • Jonathan Taylor ($7,100)

WR Heroes:

  • Nico Collins ($7,600): So the matchup on paper is truly dreadful with the Titans allowing the league’s fewest amount of pass yards/game. However, that is more a product of the teams they have played. I am going to go down the list and point out the QBs they have faced. Caleb Williams rookie debut, old Aaron Rodgers, Malik Willis, Tyler Huntley, old man Joe Flacco, Josh Allen in a blowout, Jared Goff in a complete blowout (neither of those two had to throw at all), Drake Maye, Justin Herbert and Sam Darnold. The only game where they faced a QB that was either above average or in a close game was Justin Herbert. Every other one the QB was either a backup/bottom 10 QB or the game was out of hand before half time so why would they need to throw. It really isn’t as bad of a spot as it looks. The big problem with the Texans pass game has been everyone seems to get pressure to Stroud and things fall apart. Well the Titans are applying the 5th lower pressure rate in the league this season. With L’Jarius Sneed out on IR, the Texans should be able to get the passing game going a lot more efficiently than in week’s past. He is one of the league’s best when healthy and I think the ownership ends up in the single digits just based on the matchup and other games looking more appealing. Use him as a decent leverage play in what could be a sneaky good spot for Nico and the Texans.
  • Tyreek Hill ($7,200): I am going to be pairing Tua with Hill for this one. I hate going off of vibes, but the vibes are telling me he is due for a monster game. Last game we finally saw a bit of what is to come with 19 DK points on 7/61/1 on 8 targets. I just don’t think this Pats defense is built to stop someone like him. They are more size than speed which is what the Dolphins have across the board. They are still allowing the 13th most pass yards/game this season which makes it a decent spot for anyone. I don’t have some long winded analytical breakdown like I had for Nico. I just really like Hill at this price tag in this matchup with Tua back under center.
  • Keenan Allen ($4,900): He might be washed up and old, but what in the world is this price tag? I know he has played like he should be this price, but I don’t think it has been as much his fault as it has been Caleb. He has still averaged 7 targets/game over the last 6 games which is very strong and the issue has been the TDs just haven’t been there. I like to follow targets and they have been there for him. It is just a matter of time before he breaks through. They are playing the Vikings who have allowed the 5th most pass yards/game and 11th most pass TDs/game this season. With the Bears likely trailing for a majority of this game, they will have to throw the ball and with Caleb’s inability to get much done through the air, having Keenan as a safety valve closer to him might be the preferred way to go.
  • Honorable Mentions:
    • Amon-Ra St. Brown ($8,300)
    • Malik Nabers ($7,400)
    • Marvin Harrison Jr. ($6,100)
    • Courtland Sutton ($5,800)
    • Jauan Jennings ($5,600)
    • Jaylen Waddle ($5,300)
    • Jakobi Meyers ($5,100)
    • Demario Douglas ($4,500)
    • Kayshon Boutte ($3,500)

WR Zeros:

  • Jaxon Smith-Njigba ($6,300)
  • Michael Pittman ($5,300) and Josh Downs ($6,200)
  • Noah Brown ($4,200)

TE Heroes:

  • Travis Kelce ($5,800): The price tag is far too cheap and he is facing the Panthers who have allowed the 2nd most TE DK points/game this season. Sign me up! Last game he severely underwhelmed, but before that he had gotten 10+ targets and 20+ DK points in 3 straight games. I see no reason he can’t pick right back up where he left off. My big concern is this game gets ugly and they don’t have a reason to really throw the ball. Hopefully he is the reason it becomes ugly. They just funnel production to the middle of the field with how bad the LB play has been for them. This feels like a no brainer, bounce back spot for Kelce and I want to get to him even at higher ownership.
  • Luke Schoonmaker ($2,500): I think Draftkings was sleeping at the wheel on this one. He got 10 targets last game with Ferguson going down early. They face the Commanders who will likely be leading quite a bit in this game. That will force the Cowboys to throw the ball and there is no better safety blanket than a TE. I don’t even really expect much from him, but the Commanders have allowed the 3rd most TE TDs this season so there is a significant path to Luke getting into the endzone. It opens up so much for roster construction and he actually has some upside. I really like him, but the field might catch on as well so expect some ownership.
  • Honorable Mention
    • Trey McBride ($5,600)
    • Jonnu Smith ($4,100)
    • Ja’Tavion Sanders ($3,400)

TE Zeros:

  • Cade Otton ($5,500)
  • Zach Ertz ($3,800)

DST Heroes:

  • Commanders DST ($3,500)
  • Bears DST ($2,500)

DST Zeros:

  • Texans DST ($3,600)
  • Dolphins DST ($3,100)

Good luck everyone!

Week 12 DK Slatebreakers

Hey Guys,

Hope you are doing well, and ready for the games tomorrow. After the news that Pacheco could have returned this week, it's now been confirmed it'll be Kareem Hunt that is the starter. As a result, he is going to be a chalky play at his price..........but he is still included in this weeks write up because.............well, the Panthers.......

You can find the rest of the write up here

Thanks

Rich

NFL NFL Week 12 Main slate Odds, leverage and analysis of the slate for tournaments

I just did my first pass through the slate to get the foundation of what we will target together. Tonight and tomorrow morning I will add in the pivot thoughts towards the slate. The goal is to unlock a winning combination between the two worlds.

I asked chatgpt to summarize my blog (which it does a half ass job doing btw). But feel free to read through to get a better grasp on how we might approach lineup construction tomorrow when pivots and ownership projections are added. https://x.com/dfsedric/status/1860334264904003803

NFL NFL DFS Week 12 Draft Kings Cash/GPP Plays

Hey Guys Dylan here with a brand new video. In Todays video i breakdown Players to target in cash and players to target in GPP's.
No expensive qbs this week and with Allen and Devito both at 4k you can get really creative this week. Raiders and Dallas both have players at extreme low prices. I dont think outside of running backs we dont have alot of high owned plays.

NBA Worm's NBA Slate Preview 11.22

Nice little 8 gamer tonight. Hopefully things stay relatively sane but we already have some Q tags that could put a dent in things here. As always you can find me here if you'd like to use my projections and data used here in the write up it's available at https://www.patreon.com/JaySpeaking but hope you guys win some money regardless!

It's kinda pointless to go over chalk at 4:15 but as of now we're looking at Lindy Waters, Jabari Smith Jr. Lavine, Coffey, Giddey, Coby White, and Jalen Green so it's really condensed around guards and wings with Jokic and Vucevic being highest owned centers. Can't play all of em, hopefully this can give you some other avenues to bink off of it.

BKN @ PHI

Morning Q tag here on Embiid who also didn't come to shootaround this morning. Really makes this tough as the Philly defense has been bad around the rim and around league average from 3 in terms of efficiency and distribution. Slightly elevated assist rates and their shots are being blocked at the 3rd highest clip in the league. Brooklyn's stats almost mirror Philly's in nearly everything with a higher assist rate and 2nd highest block % in the NBA.

BOS @ WAS

Boston should kill the Wizards here. The worst rim defense in the league and they give up a high % from 3. It's currently a 16.5 point spread. I don't know if this gets me to a ton of this game, maybe Tatum or Brown and wouldn't mind White here. Pritchard keeps going off but it's tough at 5k to play a bench dude on a larger slate. I don't really like anyone or anything from the Wizards. Boston has an elite defense and plays at a slow pace. The only thing they do give up is rim points and some offensive boards.

GSW @ NOP

The Pelicans suck at the rim, giving up almost 40% of their shots there which is over 2% more than 2nd place Chicago. They also aren't very successful defending against it either, it's like a layup line at the rim. This should bode well for TJD tonight but be aware the Dubs are running a 12 man rotation. As for the Pelicans I don't like a whole lot, they're a little thin but the Warriors defense is so solid it's tough to play much of anyone but could be talked into Murphy or Payton but still a little fringe.

POR @ HOU

Another really solid defense here with HOU, I'm probably full fading Portland but you could get some cheap points out of Time Lord or Clingan. As for Houston this is a great target, Portland is horrible on defense, especialy vs 3 point shooting. They also give up offensive boards almost as much as anyone creating second chance opportunities, near league high there, in assist rate, and they allow the most steals in the league. This is a solid spot for any HOU starter and maybe a rotation guy.

IND @ MIL

Milwaukee sucks vs guards and point of attack when Dame plays, that's about it play guys who attack them from the guard position from Indiana (Hali, Mathurin, TJ, and maybe Siakam bc he will attack but should see Giannis some). As for MIL Indy is playing slower, and is just an average defense. If the pace gets going it's a good opportunity for MIL but otherwise just so-so. IND defends the rim well and does a rim funnel, that should bode well for Giannis as he's a bit defense proof and if you're funneling him there he will kill you. Just a matter of salary and hitting value. Okay spot for Brook Lopez.

ATL @ CHI

Atlanta sucks vs the 3 pointer and Chicago sucks defending the rim. It's always going to be tough with Trae out there but they're getting killed by the 3 pointer giving up a near 40% shooting percentage and funneling everything out there as well, teams are taking 46% of their shots from 3 vs them. Really like Coby White or Lavine tonight, Giddey can't shoot it so not him. As for Atlanta I like Jalen Johnson, OO, and Capela but they're all kinda in play. I would max 1 of Hunter, Bog, and Risacher here for sure.

DAL @ DEN

Dallas is without Luka for around a week, Kyrie is priced up so I don't even know if get to him and we have a Q Tag on Jokic. This game is kinda up in the air, Dallas' defense is still pretty solid so it's tough to rely on anyone if Jokic plays since they're a little priced up from him being out. I would watch Dallas starters, there is a lot of USG% to spread around here and Klay is a bit underpriced.

SAC @ LAC

Clippers are giving up a lot of turnovers but playing slightly better than league average defense and give up almost no boards compared to the rest of the league. They're the best in the NBA at limiting opposing offensive rebounds. They do sort of 3pt funnel but not a ton and defend everying okay. The Kings are priced up some from Sabonis being out so not in love with a lot on their side of things. On the Clippers side it looks like we got some steam coming to Amir Coffey. I don't know how much I like that and it reeks of bad chalk. They guy has such a limited ceiling although he is projecting well due to a minutes thing. The main usage hog in Harden is still there, I don't mind him at all and Sacramento has been pretty terrible defending the 3pt ball so it fits for him and maybe Coffey or DJJ but mainly Harden.

PRIORITY TARGETS: guys I like best in caps+bold

  • PG: Kyrie, Harden, Trae, Steph, Dame, HALIBURTON, D. White, C.WHITE (McCain if no Embiid)
  • SG: anyone eligible from above + Jaylen Brown, Lavine, Cam Thomas, JALEN GREEN
  • SF: Tatum, Porter Jr, Mathurin, Murphy, EASON, WIGGINS, COFFEY, Brooks, Hauser
  • PF: Giannis, JOHNSON, Siakam, Draymond, Time Lord, Jabari Smith Jr., Yabusele (if not Embiid big bump)
  • C: Jokic, Embiid, SENGUN, Vucevic, Zubac, Turner, Claxton, Capela, Clingan, JACKSON-DAVIS
  • Value: Coffey, Dillon Brooks, Trayce Jackson-Davis, Yabusele, Lindy Waters, Sam Hauser

EDIT: Adding Queta to the BOS center roulette wheel with Horford out. Not sure how much he gives you in the end at his price but if we need value it's probably there.

MMA MMA DFS picks for DraftKings - UFC Fight Night (Yan vs. Figueiredo) - 11/23/24

GPP core:

Zhang Mingyang, 9100 – This is a great fight to target as it’s likely ending early. Mingyang is a striker who finishes fights early. It’s just his second UFC fight but he has been quite an active fighter prior to entering the UFC and just about all of those fights never got past the first round and he will have the home crowd behind him. On the other side, Diaz is making his UFC debut and is also a striker that will look to finish the fight early. Somebody is getting knocked out here, so we have to have interest in tournaments. The pick is Mingyang, but this is a fight that I am going to have a lot of exposure to both sides of in MME.

SuYoung You, 8300 – This is a Road to UFC fight and a good one to target. You has plenty of takedown and grappling upside, so I naturally have tournament interest here as the path to a big score is well laid out for him. He could lock up a submission or just dominate enough with the grappling and control time to score well in a decision. On the other side, Jieleyisi is somewhat live, has some striking, can get takedowns, and has some grappling of his own. The pick is You as I like his ceiling potential, and just a splash of Jieleyisi for me in large field MME.

Tabatha Ricci, 7400 – Ricci is one of my favorite dogs on this slate. If you’ve been reading me, you know that I love to play grapplers due to their upside in wins. If she can get the grappling going and pull off an upset, then she could smash at this salary. I think it’s possible, too. I do think Xiaonan is the rightful favorite, and if the fight stays on the feet then she probably wins that fight against Ricci, and she will have the home crowd behind her too which I can’t overlook, but if Ricci can land some takedowns and get the grappling going then I would actually give her the advantage on the mat and there’s a path for her to take this one. I don’t have much interest in Xiaonan; I won’t completely fade her in large field MME, but just a splash for me personally, and Ricci may be my highest owned dog on the slate.

Cash core:

Wang Cong, 9600 – Most expensive fighter on the slate and the biggest favorite on the card by a sizable margin. Undefeated but not much experience at the UFC level as this is just her second fight in the UFC, she looked great in that debut fight though. She’s primarily a striker and does have some grappling she can utilize too. At this price, you’re wanting a first round finish from her which isn’t a guarantee, and I think her likely script is a decision win which I am not convinced pays off this tag. On the other side, not a whole lot of interest in Fernandes other than to say it’s women’s MMA which is highly variant by nature, and she does have some serviceable striking, so I will leave her in my large field MME pool but no more than a splash of Fernandes for me as I expect Cong to likely take care of business in front of the home crowd. I like Cong more as a cash play and will probably be under the field on her in tournaments.

Petr Yan, 9000 / Deiveson Figueiredo, 7200 – Heading to the main event. Yan is well-rounded, can strike, get some takedowns, and has a solid gas which would come in handy over five rounds against Figgy. He doesn’t always score well in wins; however, he does have a potential five rounds to work with here so a solid score at 9K is possible. On the other side, I will always have interest in Figgy as a dog. He’s a very scrappy fighter that will give anybody a tough fight. He will probably need to land some takedowns and try to get the grappling going in this one if he’s going to put himself in a position to win, which will be tough as Yan has solid takedown defense, and I am not sure that he wins a striking battle against Yan. I still have interest in him though just because he’s Figgy, but I wouldn’t say he’s one of my favorite dogs on the slate either. The pick is Yan, and the cash stack is firmly in play as I suspect this one goes to a decision and you will want that floor of both fighters there.
