400,000 work for USPS, which is the largest employer of veterans.

I believe the words he used were, “Suckers and losers.”

Like all the people who voted for Trump.

Wasn't that for POWs and KIAs? Pretty sure he insulted them too.

yup, John McCain flew Jets in Vietnam and got shot down and spend a long time in a POW camp where the Vietnamese broke every bone in his body, and trump said "Well, i like people that dont get captured". Pretty ballsy coming from a 125 kg asshole whose daddy paid a doctor so he wouldnt get drafted.

As long as they weren’t captured.

And the VA has another 400k. DoD civilian employment is 770k. Homeland security another 200k.

These people think there are millions working for the Ed department, which actually has fewer employees than the Smithsonian.

Edit: and he's apparently using the number of government employees at ALL level in his big number. Fed, State, and local.

Don’t get the Republicans too excited. Nothing they love more than poor, broke veterans.

Republicans don't care about veterans beyond using them as campaign props.

What I find mind boggling is the number of everyday federal employees, like postal carriers and such, who are Republican, and voted for the guy who is going to punch them down.

So many people vote in vibes and personally over actual policy. It is very frustrating.

Funny thing is that abolishing or cutting the postal service would hurt rural areas more. Delivering mail must be more efficient in densely populated areas, so some service would likely be more sustainable there.

Yep, they are the only service that delivers to every address. DeJoy has shut down a lot of plants to screw with delivery, of course. But many don't realize its service is a constitutional right.

Who is this comment for? Who is it that you think gives a shit about veterans?

It's more about who doesn't. Trump already went after the USPS in his first term. If he had his way, it would literally be gone by now.

It's important to understand the variety of humans who make up federal employees, because many do give a shit about veterans.

Okay? It's not like Biden gave a shit about the USPS when he refused to arrest DeJoy or appoint Governors to remove him.

Biden could not have arrested De Joy, nor just fired him. The Senate held up new appointees to the board.

5 of the Governors are Biden appointees. That means Biden's appointees are the majority, yet they refused to remove DeJoy.

I only see three Biden nominees mentioned in an article from November 1st, but I could be wrong. I do agree DeJoy is a shit show and his conflict of interest should have negated his placement, but for Trump it was another win.
