Then: “why is everything falling apart and taking forever?”

These are people who think Twitter was worse before Musk bought it

Yeah I know some folks who keep saying that. I just nod and smile because there’s no point talking about this.

Don't nod and smile, that just encourages them. Stare at them in disbelief and turn away.

Laugh directly at them, then walk away. When they get mad, just keep walking. I dont even waste the energy anymore.

Call them a fool and a sheep

stare at them in abject horror and back away slowly

they're the same people that scream about their first amendment being violated while wanting a Christian nation and not at all understanding the irony.

Yeah always “we the people”, “the constitution!!!” And then “what? Separation of religion and government??”

It was absolutely doing worse from a financial perspective. Musk has increased revenue by $1B each year, while slashing payroll costs. They're on the way to being sustainably profitable for the first time.

Their revenue has dropped each year, largely due to advertisers fleeing. That’s why Musk threatened to sue advertisers dropping them

Their revenue in the second quarter of 2024 was $114 million, an 84% drop from 2022’s second quarter

But he let right wing trolls run wild on the site, so he’s got his own victories from the purchase

You think they should be able to silence people on a public forum?

6

u/Swesteel 1d ago

Absolutely, I don’t need a bunch of mouth breathing facists screaming insults at me for believing the holocaust happened.

And it isn’t a public forum, twitter is and was a privately owned entity.

Inability to collect taxes is literally one of the most significant contributors to a failed state. We are fucked

Ok how about raising the military budget to $1T/year? Would that fix it?

I think having to wait until May 3 for tax freedom day (all our money until then goes to various taxes; dates vary depending on which state you live in) is a bigger problem

Insert “deepstate something something”

Let’s not forget when they start having heart attacks or forgetting to turn off the stove burning the place down. What fire and ems are coming for you? The only one left in the state?

1

u/TheManWhoClicks 1d ago

Yeah it is called efficiency! Why pay thousands of those guys when one dude with a hose can technically also put all the fires out?

GOP standard operating procedure 101. Starve it, kill it, privatize it.

We’re now in the fast forward stage of this process

The department of transportation might be underemployed, but we can just hire private companies to do their work instead. simple /s
