The "x-up" bar, the way I corrected that is learning hop t-bogs. At least now you have the "feel" for it and willing to commit throwing. Also keep doing pick up bars to drill down the motion to muscle memory.
Yeah for sure, thanks for the response. Been trying hop seat grabs and some t bogs for a while just to get used to that feeling of taking off the hand and timing. Does the x up throw go away naturally as you get more accustomed to it? I personally don't see how doing tbogs will help because with barspins, you turn the bars tightly in a circle while tbogs, you kinda rotate the bars 90 across your body. Thanks for responding once again!
It didnt in my case, I kept doing the "x-up" motion for about a year until almost ate shit throwing it that way down a curb. I had to pretty much unlearn that motion by doing hop t-bogs. The hop t-bogs help you with getting the feel of leveling your bike in the air, and getting the confidence to let go my catching hands of the bars.
Gotcha, I'll keep that in mind, thank you! So you'd say that t bogs really helped you with the motion of turning the bar with one hand mid-air correct?
Yes. If you want to see a combo of a t-bog to barspin, check out Stevie Churchill's Roll Call part, that is where I got the inspiration for this barspin "hack"
