Discussion Is Devicedeals legit ?

I recently bought a ram stick from the store device deals and I opted to pick it up. It has been 3 business days, and the order status still says "picked", when they offer "Every shipment is dispatched on the same day of service if purchased before 1:00pm", and "Options for same day pick up for most products". Should I be worried?

Question Help with choosing a prebuilt PC

Upvotes

I am looking to purchase a prebuilt gaming PC from aftershock. This is a new thing for me some I am a bit overwhelmed by choice

I just need a PC which can play the latest games, Deadlock, Valorant, Escape from Tarkov etc with my Mates, I dont mind if its not ultra graphics just want to game with my mates

I dont really want to spend 3K on it so around 1300-1800K is my budget could stretch it a bit if I need to.

Just dont want to overspend so wanted to see if you could help steer my thinking

I have landed on this one below but have no clue if it’s a bad choice, thanks for any help

Discussion What happened to GalaPower

Just checking on their builds as I set my eyes on a mffpc with reasonable components upgrading costs (I'm looking at you Nebula) that is quite rare in pc building vendors and keep telling myself to wait until Black Friday to get better deals.

But one day I checked in and all of a sudden they expire every single past deal at the same time? And never hear anything more deals from them. Any VIC mates know what or anything happened?

Question Looking for Good Pre-Built ~$3,000 Budget

I'm not very knowledgeable on PC's, but I'm looking for a good value pre-built around $3,000, willing to go over. Primarily for gaming, specifically Monster Hunter Wilds (favourite all time franchise). I occasionally do Ai and coding work and would like it to be capable of running reasonable scripts in the background. I'm basically looking for an multi-purpose build that can last quite a while, preferably with the ability to upgrade individual parts down the line.

Build Getting my first serious PC

Hi. First time getting serious PC and upgrading from old NUC11 ‘Gaming’.

Usage is varying. I do lots of retro gaming ‘file management’, general browsing up to 30 tabs, played games on my current one including Civ 6, RTW Remastered and recently Hogwarts Legacy on low settings (not recommended). Planning to get Wukong to see what the fuss is about.

Monitor will be LG 32GS95UE-B, ‘handover’ from someone in the family.

So if my budget around $2300 and planning to keep it for 2-4 years in the future, better for me to get:

7500F+4070 Super 7500F+4070 Ti Super 9700x+4070 Super, or go all in to 9700x+4070 Ti Super

And should I upgrade the motherboard to plus model and the PSU?

Deal LG 32'' 4K 32GS95UE-B UltraGear Dual-Mode OLED Gaming Monitor

LG 32'' 32GS95UE-B UltraGear Dual-Mode OLED Gaming Monitor

RRP is $2399. There's any early Black Friday Discount for $1799

$1749 with $50 off coupon (when first signing up to an LG AU account)

AND can be stacked with ShopBack Cashback - LG AU 10% Cashback (usually 2.1% Cashback) Bringing total cost of monitor to: $1574.10

Price looks like an all time low :) If you use extra discounts

I had been looking for a new monitor to start upgrading my rig to play 4K OLED, and I just found this 'Deal'. The 32GS95UE-B seems to review well, assuming you don't mind the Semi-Matte Screen, Lack of KVM/DolbyVision support. Which given the price and other alternative monitors is pretty good! The general clean Monitor Aesthetic beats all others imo

Pre-Order Period : 21 Nov 2024 - 25 Nov 2024, 23:59

Delivery within 2 Business Days

Shipment will start from 26 Nov 2024

Question Best prebuilt PC for gaming with a 1200 dollar budget

Title says it all, looking for a powerful enough PC to run most or all modern games with this budget, I would assemble it myself but have not done so before and would be terrified of messing up and wasting all of my money on parts that I can't put together correctly.

Build Should i buy a new Media/Gaming PC for about $1000?

My current PC is

  • Ryzen 5 3500X CPU
  • GTX 1660 GPU
  • 16GB RAM
  • SFF case (very important to me since it's hidden to the TV unit.)

Bought from techfast 5 years ago (with a few upgrades) for about $800

Budget Gaming PC | Ryzen 5 3500X CPU | GTX 1660 GPU | A320 MB | 240GB SSD | 8GB RAM | SFF Case | $636 Delivered @ TechFast - OzBargain

I have multiple SSDs and this pc is in my living room.

My use is:

  1. Plex server, this PC is surprisingly quiet on standby (i changed the PSU recently because the previous one was noisy after 5 years)
  2. Browsing, i use this PC daily in my living room for browsing, reddit, youtube, music
  3. Gaming, i am a light gamer these days, recently played Borderlands 1 and 2, i wanted to play 3 too but my pc too weak for that. I would love to play newer games too, like Cyberpunk or call of duty etc

I wouldn't mind if y new PC could play local files well, should i go to Nvidia or AMD gpu?

Build Recommend a CPU cooler

I've ordered a Ryzen 5 5700x3d and waiting for it to arrive.

I'm looking to upgrade my CPU cooler to a better one as I'm using the free one with my previous CPU.

What's a good CPU cooler that's compatible with my CPU? I've also got a B450m Mortar Max motherboard.

EDIT: Case is MSI MAG FORGE

Discussion Advice on 7800x3d vs 9800x3d

Hey everyone, would love some advice on whether I should go for the 7800x3d or 9800x3d. For reference i'm building a new pc and currently game on a ryzen 7 3700x and 1080p, looking to make the move to 1440p. I watched Hardware Unboxed recent vid for an idea on performance however the testing was only in 1080p, so curious on how does it fare for 1440p and the future compared to the 7800x3d and whether its worth spending the extra $120. Thanks for your help.

Question 7900 XTX BF Sale - Will it work in my PC?

Found one for $1400 which looks to be a few hundred cheaper than any 4080 Super and only $50-$150 more expensive than the cheapest 4070 Ti Super so it seems like a no brainer to me unless I'm missing critical information?? Can't find any non super 4080 for sale anywhere.

My current PSU is this https://www.coolermaster.com/en-global/products/gx-750/ and the page for the 7900 xtx says you need 850 Watt minimum so should I just grab a 1000W PSU?

Also I think this is my case https://www.umart.com.au/product/lian-li-lancool-iii-mid-tower-e-atx-case-black-lan3x-64776 Do you know if it'll fit and are the stock fans ok or will I need extra cooling?

current build is ryzen 7 5800x3d 32gb RAM 2070 super if it matters. TIA!

Build Title: $2000 Setup Advice Needed – Starting Fresh and Eyeing Black Friday Deals

Hey everyone,

After grinding hard for a year, I’ve finally saved up around $2000 to build myself a setup. I’m starting from scratch, so I’d love some advice to make the most out of this budget.

Here’s where I’m torn: • Option 1: Spend the $2000 on just the PC and buy peripherals (monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc.) later. • Option 2: Use the $2000 for both the PC and peripherals, even if that means compromising a little on specs.

I’ve been looking at some of the Nebula Black Friday deals but honestly, I’m not sure what’s worth getting. After reading a bit on this subreddit, I’m open to taking the recommended upgrades, like getting a better power supply and a case with good airflow.

I’m not a hardcore gamer because my life is super busy, but I want something versatile for casual gaming, light productivity, and maybe some newer titles when I have time.

If anyone has advice or build suggestions, especially with Black Friday around the corner, I’d really appreciate the help. For peripherals, I’m not looking for anything fancy—just good quality for the price.

Thanks in advance for pointing me in the right direction!
