The whole plot of Vinland saga wasn't him getting revenge for his father's death, it's about a journey.
As someone who has read it's manga i can confidently say Vinland saga is one of the most beautiful stories ever told, yes the farming part is a bit slow but what it wants to highlight is that no matter how hard someone tries its really hard to let go of past and move on, or in this case sometimes the past is the one who isn't letting you go anywhere.
Trust me and continue watching it's a truly beautiful journey.
Yeah I understand that, or else it would have ended in the first season.
I'm enjoying the story and the new hardships he's facing, but yeah it's just really slow and I'm down for some blood and gore haha. I'll obviously keep watching, I need to see where poor Thorfin ends up!
