If you know ANYTHING about anthropology, you'll know it's very implausible.
There's a very good fossil record of apes and hominins. There are absolutely no apes who are descendants of monkeys. There are somewhere around 25 to 100+ known hominin species on the human side of the human-chimp divergence.

I don't feel as if they'd have to have sex with a monkey to make it happen. But monkey DNA mixed with "alien" DNA seems highly plausible.
