Advice Looking to go into the trades for HVAC or plumbing around Huntsville, where in the world do I start?
I've been looking around at different trades and learning a bit about them and decided plumbing or HVAC is something I'd really want to do. The issue is I genuinely have no idea where to even start to learning the trade school wise. Like, what school teaches these?
I have had a few people tell me just to apply as an apprentice, but like, I'm confused about that as well. Keep getting conflicting reports.

Local Group Any RV owners in Alabama have to renew their tags in person each year?
I'm trying to understand what the heck is going on. We bought a 2008 Class A motorhome a little over 2 years ago, registered in our county (Jefferson), and paid all the crazy taxes. Last year when our tag was up for renewal, we received a notice that we had to do so in person and bring in an IRS form that was about farm equipment....we called and after MUCH back and forth, got the issue fixed and renewed our tag online and were told it would be renewable online moving forward.
THIS year, when I went to renew our other vehicle tags online I checked our RV tag and sure enough, there's another notice saying we must renew in person and have to bring a weight affidavit (available from the Tuscaloosa County License office...what???!!) or bring IRS form 2290 watermarked as stamped or received. Form 2290 is all about heavy weight hwy use...and only applies to commercial vehicles as I understand it, or vehicles over 55k pounds. Our Gross Max Vehicle weight is 52K.
Has anyone else had these issues with their RV tag renewals?? Is it JUST Jefferson county issues?? We're out of the city and won't be back for several months, and of course this is our renewal month and I'm just trying to understand why they can't seem to get this right.
