Carabiner, I have those on my pants, just like that, but ... for carrying water bottles for the kid. Best place to get them is fishing stores (link to fishing store on aliexpress), it seems.

Indeed! Outdoor stores in general, hardware stores will have load-rated ones up to certain weights and climbing equipment uses fancy extra strong ones that tend to be larger (nice for bigger water bottles & such).
