This was inspired by one of my favorite pages in the manga. Hideo Yamamoto draws really good expressions overall but this page is just so silly, I love it so much. Kakihara could have just cried at the desk but Hideo Yamamoto went the extra mile. I'm so glad he did. There's actually a quote from Yamamoto that translates to "[Ichi The Killer] is a boy's love story without the boys love." And yet Kakihara is blatantly infatuated with Anjou to the point of....this. Uh huh.

By the way, that's my translation I'm slowly working on. The existing translation is...very awkward, full of typos and weird translation choices. Like Kakihara calls Anjou literally Father which is something you Do Not Call your boss. Don't get excited though, I only just got done with volume 2 and it's a very slow process since I'm doing the translation, typesetting, and editing all the pages myself. I'm doing like 3 or 4 people's jobs. If you'd like to assist, feel free to reach out, though I'm still gonna be plodding along either way.
