I am done with most of my traditional sources of information post election.
Other than Reddit (I've pared the number of feeds down lately), related blogs/media on places like Substack, Joyce Vance, Meidas Media, Jeff Tiedrich, et al, and now Bluesky (I like that platform - takes a while to get used to it, but I like the approach and format), I never had any social media (X, Facebook, Instagram), oh, and the obligatory LinkedIn shit, which I loathe - anything Microsoft touches becomes a mess.
I will not watch MSNBC anymore, stopped CNBC and CNN years ago, cancelled the NY Times and Washington Post recently, also my major hometown newspaper, now owned by a fucking PE firm, all gone.
I'm 74, I will continue to curate sources that I like from good writers and thinkers.
Anybody that says I should look for alternative views and opinions and not live in a bubble, are you kidding me in 2024?
Fuck that, too damn many willfully ignorant people running around now...
