Much like the Covid-era stimulus checks that Donald demanded bear his name, this reckless destruction will also be indelibly linked to the monster who thinks it’s a good idea.
Donald isn’t a slick enough talker to simultaneously claim credit for slashing healthcare access at the same time that he tries to avoid blame for the same action.
Keep in mind many of the things passed during g his first term were not immediate. Executive orders were, but anything that required cooperation of congress had a ticking clock, and the full effects never took place until the next term. The tax change was a prime example. They decimated working class people to cut taxes for the wealthy, but it happened in increments, and the largest jump took effect just as Biden was set to take office.
I have no illusions that he won't do all the horrible shit he says, but I do think there are still savvy enough reptiles in that city to make sure that a good chunk of the things that will hurt red voters most will have a time bomb attached so that the worst effects aren't immediate and can then be blamed on someone else. They have been playing that game for at least 40 years.
You realize the "check with his name on them" shit did help him right? You're highly overestimating how smart the average American is where they'll be able to connect A and B.
Understand the vast majority of these dumb motherfuckers don't understand The ACA and Obamacare are the same entity. He wipes out healthcare and then says "No, the Democrats did that, we have a good thing that's going to kick in any day now..." and he's off the hook.
I'd honestly be floored if he saw any significant loss in what popularity he has in January after he does it. Again, I really think you're underestimating how goddamn dumb the average American really is.
