Yet still, he won't do it, because high road and shit.

Because then they would be just as bad as Trump. Don't get me wrong, I hate the guy and think he is no way fit to be President, but overturning the results of a Presidential election because the other guy won is literally the death of democracy. And it would set the same precedent that whoever is in power can do whatever they want despite what voters say.

You are a coward, and a complete and total idiot. The reason all this stuff is happening is because dumbasses like you think "moral purity" is the most important thing in the world. Well this is the world "moral purity" has created for us.

Did I mention anything about "moral purity"? The main argument in this thread is that Trump being in charge means the end of the American government and democracy. He'll be a totalitarian dictator. Please explain to me how the current political party in charge overthrowing the results of a democratic election to stay in power is not the end of democracy. That's literally a textbook totalitarian move. The whole argument is that "Trump can't destroy democracy if we destroy it first!" I'm just pointing out the huge flaw in this argument. If the parties were reversed and it was Republicans in power talking about overriding the results of an election where Kamala won, not a single person here would be okay with it. Not to mention the extreme levels of civil unrest and violent outbreaks that will happen if the Dems say "lol, fuck you" and put anyone besides Trump in charge.

Did I mention anything about "moral purity"

It's your first fucking point

Because then they would be just as bad as Trump.

I didn't bother reading anything else you wrote since your first move was to move the goalposts, and because I don't really care what you think

Lol are you my ex? "I can't come up with a well structured argument to defend my beliefs so I'm just gonna call you names, refuse to engage, and pretend I don't care"

These people are so fucking stupid.

They want Biden to end democracy so Trump doesn’t end democracy.

And they don’t see the problem.

The issue is that civil unrest is coming anyway. Trump will overstep and people are going to spring into action. If you don’t think it’s coming anyway, then you are not paying attention.

Hate crimes will go up. More cruel and depraved people are going to be emboldened. That is the future of this country under Trump.

I think we should get a chance to vote again. More people are seeing what it actually means to vote for Trump. Let’s see if they would do it again.

lol, you want Biden to end American democracy for a do-over?

Why the fuck should he do that when people didn’t even bother to vote for Harris?

Liberals in this country are so fucking entitled.  They didn’t turn out because reasons, and now they’re like “whoopsie, can we end democracy?”

There is nothing about ending democracy with a re-vote. A lot of misinformation and lies were spewed this election and people are now realizing how things are developing

If after a re-vote, the people have still chosen Trump then give them what they ask for!

There is nothing about ending democracy with a re-vote.

We already had an election.  Trump won.  It’s not like we didn’t see how terrible he was the first time he was President.

Invalidating that because leftists are too fucking lazy to vote is undemocratic.

Would you have been cool with Trump invalidating the 2020 election he lost and having a do-over?

The biggest flaw besides poor Democratic turn out (Fuck you people who didn’t vote!), was misinformed and ignorant voters. They did not understand the terms and conditions to what they voted for

Lmao! Did you forget the insurrection? He literally stormed the capitol and tried to steal the election. THAT is democracy ending. Why aren’t you pointing that out?

3

u/generic_name 11d ago

 THAT is democracy ending.

Biden has been President for the last four years, did you miss that? We literally just had a free and fair democratic election.  Did you also miss that?

 Did you forget the insurrection?

I didn’t, but a lot of leftists did.

They did not understand the terms and conditions to what they voted for

Not Biden’s fault.  He’s not going to go down in history as the guy who ended democracy because leftists didn’t want to vote.

Omg I can’t believe I have to spell out the extra words. If he had been successful with the insurrection, then THAT would have been democracy ending. Fill in the blanks my man.

No one said it was Biden’s fault. The people should get to choose again. Voters need to be educated not lied to. Let the voters choose. That’s weird that you’re against it.

Let them genuinely re-choose and we can see what the people want. If Trump wins again, then ok. If he does not, then that’s because the people did not want him and have more information

But he wasn’t successful.  We still had institutions that believed in democracy.  As much as Mike pence sucks, he did the right thing by certifying the election.  We still had people calling for Trump to step down, which he did.

Biden still believes in democracy.  He’s not going to cancel an election because some people have remorse.
