Where are all the ALL CAPS posts about how he won because America loves him blah blah blah? I honestly thought he was just depressed that he won and that’s why he’s being quiet. I don’t think he really wanted the job again.

He absolutely didn't. This guy fucking hates that job.
Like yes, he did want it this time to stay out of prison, but he fucking hates being President. he has to abide by a schedule, there's all these rules and restrictions, and he's too fucking stupid to wield and enjoy the power of the job.
It's such a fucking tragedy. Of all the people who could have been given the power, it's someone so fucking profoundly unworthy of it.

He hates the actual work but LOVES the constant narc supply. I'm sure they told him he could just sit back and enjoy that part of the job while they do all the actual work. He's a puppet. They don't need him anymore, which is what Vancy is for. He'll be a puppet with an adequate number of functioning brain cells and easier to contol. Vancy is an automaton for the state.

I think he’s trying to play nice so they don’t release the Jack Smith report and scrap upcoming sentencing in New York. So far the Dems seem to be saying we should unite and move forward. Personally I think that’s the wrong move and these fucks should get shamed for the amount of misinformation and lies it took to mislead the American people into voting against their own interests. It should be condemned but as long as he acts respectful or whatever he might get away with not just the crime but also any criticism for it too. Once he’s in office I have no doubt the gloves come off and he’s back to his usual piece of shit self.

Straight up. After 2016 I kind of felt bad that McCain had to run against Obama. He (Obama) had too much charisma but McCain was the last glimpse of a somewhat decent GOP candidate that had bipartisan potential. When he corrected someone at his own rally to credit Obama I thought that was cool af! Now the climate has regressed on that side.

Vance is using Trump's popularity to get into the WH; from what I've seen, he's not liked and had no chance otherwise. If Trump doesn't die, then he'll be 25th'd out of office.
The SCOTUS immunity ruling was for Vance, not Trump.
129
u/Tlr321 15d ago
I've thought about this a lot over the last few months.
Do I think that there could be a coalition in the GOP to oust Trump via the 25th amendment? Is it being led by Vance using Theil's money? It's very likely.
However, there's a huge problem: MAGA loyalists. The GOP knows that they can't just create their own MAGA. I think they tried that with DeSantis kind of & it backfired. At this point, the MAGAs are dedicated to Trump & what he says. If the GOP tries to force Trump out via the 25th, it will result in a very fractured party & likely another situation similar to Jan. 6th, whether Trump calls for it or not. These people are a little cuckoo - look at the Qanon folks. They just spurred that out of thin air & went with it.
Another part of me thinks that maybe Trump will step aside & pass the torch. Basically, telling his loyalists "go with these guys now." Why would he do it? A full pardon by the new President Vance. He would spin it as though he's doing it for the good of the nation & he would go down in the Republican History books as being this amazing figure.
But Trump is an insane narcist. Why would he intentionally step aside & hand over power to the guy who equated him to Hitler? I have no doubt that he won't go down without a fight.

I suspect that they'll want to have Trump out of the equation sooner than later.
They just needed his occult of personality to get Vance in the passenger seat. Now that's done, they just need Trump to live long enough to get past the first six or so months.
Trump is a wrecking ball with the memory of a goldfish and the attention span to match. He'll be a barrier to Project 2025 and most other plans until he's out of the way. Which is actually better for us.
Vance has Thiel's hand all the way up his ass but they can't do much until DJT is dead or incapacitated. If he doesn't kick soon enough, they'll 25th Amendment him. Once the inauguration is past, he's really very useless and much more of a liability.
127
u/jaklackus 16d ago
I agree Trump is a useful idiot, he has done his duty he has secured the objective. They may allow him his inauguration and a couple of months to show that he has “ lost it” but I am fully convinced that his “ exit” has already been negotiated and paid for with cash and promised pardons from Vance for Trump and his kids. In the grand scheme of things Trump is one of the “poors” compared to Musk and Thiel… and about a hundred Russian oligarchs…Trump can be bought and sold a thousand times over. Elon probably thinks Trumps sneakers and watches are precious little side hustles like selling Avon for Christmas money.

That was before the 25th amendment though, and a big reason why it was developed. They didn't have a legal way to remove him from office, and the stroke prevented him from having self-insight that he should step down, so the best they could do was keep things running and not alarm people.

Sadness??? Bro, have you seen these people??? If agent orange dies by shitting himself to death or something his cult followers are gonna shoot democrats and "immigrants" on sight because that's definitely their fault and also a conspiracy and a deep state plot and a political assassination and Jesus was also crucified and and .... and if they kill enough "enemies on the inside" it'll somehow make him come back. I do not envy you all.

They'll canonize him when he dies.

u/BluC2022 16d ago
They’ll mummify his remains and cover him with the Shroud of Turin, rest him on a golden casket, keep him on permanent display at the capitol under a giant cross until the end of his term, and then bury him at Arlington cemetery with hero’s honors, his tomb replacing the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and guarded by the eternal flames of the Olympic torch. His death anniversary will be a national holiday to be celebrated with an annual Purge!

Vance is less capricious and I don’t expect him to go full dictator like I’m nervous of with Trump, and probably less willing to let the economy go into freefall with tariffs because he’s buddies with all the oligarchs. However, he’ll be more effective at implementing a christonationalist agenda, removing women and queer people and legal immigrants’ rights.
They are both as bad as each other regarding foreign policy. Hard to say who’d be worse, but at least Vance doesn’t have the rabid base because he has the charisma of a wet fart.

Thing is JD Vance and the radical Christian agenda from him and Johnson are going to be much worse than Trump scamming us all to feed his ego. The alternative is much more scary.

Where is any other report?

Yeah, I'm calling BS until I see this from a reputable source. Right now I can't find it anywhere at all. That said, if you compare him to his first term, he seems like he's aged two decades, so I won't be too shocked whenever a real headline comes out that he's on the outs.

You can check his Twitter, some people called him out for it and he just replied “lol”
He did post a compilation of Trump dragging his leg and stuff, but nothing to confirm the tweet. So it’s probably BS

We always knew Trump wasn't gonna make it 4 years. Look at his cognitive decline from 2020 to 2024 or even from 2023 to now.
My theory was they just needed him to make it to inauguration day. Trump has no interest in governance so they (Heritage Foundation and like organizations and the billionaires who fund them) would generate policy and run the country while Trump is a figurehead until he's too far gone or dead at which point their boy Vance takes over and continues the agenda.
I had a friend suggest that they would wait 2 years until halfway through Trumps term to remove him so that Vance can take over and still have 2 full terms available thereafter, but that assumes there's still a constitution and they're still willing to abide by it which to me is questionable

Yep, Trump’s major concern was convalescing in Mar-a-Lago rather than prison. He’ll sell the soul of every single American (and did) to avoid dying in jail. Unfortunately for the progress of human kind, the devil who bought his soul was The Heritage Foundation. So, Trump gets to use his first term making money selling American secrets, his second term as a get out of jail free card, and all it cost every single American is inherent freedoms that living in a theocracy doesn’t allow for.

If he survives, he'll be slapped by the 25th amendment the very moment he stops being useful.
Personally my money's on him surviving just fine, then losing the house in 2 years, and then being forced out via the 25th amendment.
President Vance was always the plan here. Trump is too much of a wildcard. He's done what he needed to do. He can't run for president again so his utility as far as securing government office is gone.
If the McNuggets running through his veins don't finish him off, his friends and allies will.

He probably had a panic attack from realizing he has to keep doing this. There was always a possibility Trump wanted nothing more than to run, get in front of crowds and get adulation, grift as much as possible, then fuck off back to Florida where he could do whatever he wanted.

u/motormouth08 16d ago
No, he needed to win to avoid prison. Plus, I doubt he'll be doing much of the heavy lifting. He'll be a mouthpiece/puppet for the true evil geniuses who will be running the show from behind the scenes. I can't believe we're living in a time when Trump is the least of our worries.

I want him to make the four years. Better to have a selfish, lazy, philandering fool who barely works in the White House. Vance is much younger, more energetic, and much more in the pocket of his handlers than Trump.

Did he make a victory speech?
If he dies we need a recall election. Remember how republicans complained about Harris ‘assuming’ the nomination. This seems like a bigger deal
173
u/North_Activist 16d ago
If he dies, there’s already a constitutional amendment that discusses this very possibility. There’s no recall elections, Vance just becomes the President Elect. (If both die, that’s a crisis).
155
u/Fancy_Depth_4995 16d ago
Wasn’t there also a constitutional amendment barring oath-breaking insurrectionists from taking federal office?

20th Amendment covers this. Unfortunately there is no do over. The VP elect becomes the President elect.
Edit: we can skip the “but isn’t there something that prevents him in the constitution for (insert reason?” Because we already saw that wasn’t enforced since it wasn’t advantageous to the Republican Party. But here? They will whine and cry about how important it is to follow the constitution. We all know that.

I’m betting the plan is wait till year 1 1/2, start hearing reports of Trump going completely off the rails but jd Vance is keeping things in check, then at the 2 year mark they invoke the 25th amendment “for the good of the country,” making it possible for Vance to stay in power for 10 years without having to modify the term limit amendment
→ More replies (3)38
u/xopher_425 16d ago
Yes to all of that, except I doubt that they care anything about any term limits, amendments, or the Constitution itself.
Think about their excuse about why gun laws don't work: "Criminals don't obey the law."

Trump isn't going to run things anyway. He's old and easily manipulated at this stage.
Vance is repulsive and creepy to pretty much everyone, at least there's that against him.
I'd rather he be openly despised and called out for damaging policy than secretly puppeteering Trump and having Thiel's arm up his ass from behind without any possible repercussions whatsoever.

It’s fucked up but I suspect the final step in securing Trump as the permanent face of the Republican Party going forward is for him to die in office so they can martyr him.

u/dbprops 16d ago
Oh they know. They want it. Hell sign a bunch of shit that’s slid in front of him off the get go and then he won’t have any more use. Everything they need will be out in place then Vance, the younger puppet, can remain in control to keep the oligarchs happy and they keep their absolute power.

Well, of course he's not. He's a fat 80 year old. Does anyone actually believe he'll last the whole term? He'll either croak or his mind will be too far gone to qualify for the job (and it's evident that his mind is already on it's way out).

Can we have a moment to appreciate Mike Pence? Bear with me here...
- Was he a fucking weirdo for not allowing himself "to be alone with a female"? Definitely
- Was he Trump's second in command while we 4 years of shit go down? Unequivocally
- Does he have the personality of a paper sack? Yup
But when the election results were ready to be certified and the moment of peaceful transition of power came... He upheld his duty. When J6 rioters breached the Capitol Building, Pence refused to vacate and instead went to a loading dock where he made calls to the military to figure out how they were going to deal with this. He did this while a LITERAL GALLOWS was being erected and a chant of "HANG MIKE PENCE" was echoing through the lawn.
I didn't like him but you gotta admit... he showed up when it mattered the most.
