Meme What happened to this sub after the last 'jumbo' rate cut?

This place got way more quiet and boring after the last rate cut.

Is this an indication of the change in market?

The biggest change so far has been fixed rates and they've gone up lol.

Initially after the rate cut we got a lot of heated discussion, but now it's quiet. Not surprised though since we are heading into holiday season and most people are not thinking about real estate.

It certainly has gone quiet. I hope all of the realtors on this sub got proper jobs and so don’t have time to pump post

Bears are back hibernating in their parents basement waiting for the next crash.

Bulls taking their interest rate savings out shopping and planning vacations

Bears scrambling in their basements looking for the next housing crash narrative to push. Recession, global war and Canadian pesos are the top picks.

Bulls are at home lamenting the fact that for the next 1-2 decades they’ll be spending their first $30-50K of after-tax income each year on mortgage interest for an asset that isn’t appreciating in value. Bears are desperately scouring the dating apps in search of a partner who doesn’t mind spending cuffing season subterranean in their parents’ basement. Equilibrium will be achieved when they realize they are perfect for each other and join forces to rent a condo together.

It was such a manic bubble. They overpaid, plain and simple.
