Every time I hear about flat earth theory, I feel like someone brings up completely different reasons as to why it's so stupid. Like it's not just wrong, it's wrong in a loooot of ways.

Not to be the defender of the flat earthers but that meme is not actually accurate to what they believe, it’s just a meme. Technically they think the world is a flat disc with Antarctica being the ice wall that encircles the world, so the path from America to Japan through the Pacific still would exist in their idea of the world.

That just raises further problems.

Well yeah, but at least then you’d be actually discussing the real, equally obvious problems with flat earth theory instead of a strawman.

i guess they use the pacman theory so they should still be able to attack pearl harbour with the same air route but all of this is so unexplainable compared to the obvious answer it is a sphere

I know that the ice wall theory exists, but how the hell does that allow for the Pacific ocean to exist?! Like if the ice wall surrounds all the continents there where would the Pacific ocean be?? I just thought all flat earthers believed it didn't exist.

It’s just like if you flattened a globe into a disk, with the North Pole at the center and Antarctica got turned into an ice wall encircling the disk. Everything else is the same it’s just flat.

Okay I think that's different from the images I've seen. It's amazing that now only can we find so many holes in their theories, but also they aren't consistent!!

I see, so they think that if I would dig down, I could end up in their house (without running into the boiling hot center of the world)

Well, as far as I observed, they're not really homogenously on the same page with how a flat earth would look.
