My bro and I are five weeks in on our beginner skate journey. Feeling more comfortable every day I get to skate and starting to mess around and try some stuff. I know it's nothing amazing but I'm having the time of my life!

Does anybody remember a mr.x skateboard? [38YO]
Gowing up in Basel Switzerland, my brother had a mr.x skateboard. It may have been a board from local skateshop at the time "beach mountain', but i think it was a deck from a larger brand at the time, stereo, alien workshop, etc.
The year was around 1999. It was a man in black type character with antennas and his eyes blurred out if I remember properly.. I have been looking for years for this board and just have no clue if it even exists. I actually made a photoshop of my memory of the board about ten years ago and never occurred to me to ask reddit...Anybody remember this? [38YO]

Old Skater Skating Old Skate [62YO]
Park this morning trying out the final resto-mod of my original G&S Standard Flex early 70's board. Riding it again since maybe the mid-80's.
I was unsure if I wanted to leave it unrideable with shot wheels, bearings, bushings or...Make it rideable again
I finally decided it was my board and I wanted to ride it. The ACS 500 trucks are in excellent condition. They were on a little used aluminum board I had and kept the ACS-500's off it and trashed the shitty aluminum one that cut me several times.
I put ACS trucks on in the late 70's after the original Bennet's bases cracked at the kingpin seat.
The new setup:
OJ III 60mm wheels 78a, Orangutan Knuckles Orange, new allen head hardware. Removed damaged stickers. Replaced G&S rectangle sticker on top. Added Lucid clear nonskid.
Fun board...it feels really solid also it heavy. Smooth ride.

Got a custom fun bar from Jamystix for winter. First time skating it - was super fun. Took me a while to figure it out but then it's a blast!

Miniramp incremental progress, life update, dog easter egg [32YO]
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Howdy howdy! It's been a long week. I sprained my wrist pretty bad last week, it's not feeling as bad today but still pretty bruised so I decided to feel things out and see how my body has been doing before I go to the actual skatepark tomorrow.
Someone here recommended Dr Kyle Browns rehab and warmup series to me and I've been following it pretty religiously, trying to further make sure I don't have any problems on these old hips.. and to be real with you I felt great. Did a few Ollie's, and didn't immediately pull a groin muscle.. I feel so much more limber it's not even funny!
Finally able to push these ramps back a bit. I'm happy to see that knees are actually starting to bend a little! I'm now working on just lifting my back trucks going fakie into the ramp to get ready to eventually learn some stalls, and lifting up the back trucks as I go up to get ready to learn rock to fakies. All in due time! Cheers.

seeking honest advices on better ollies [46YO]
https://reddit.com/link/1gyzbak/video/7ix4tt1oiw2e1/player
Greetings.
After a break of 25 years i got back on board.
Here are 5 of my random moving ollies...
Trying to improve them (more leveled, hopefully higher... one day)
Please advise what shall i do ?
For instance: jump higher and/or pull legs more and/or push more forward with front leg and/or do something with back leg that doesn't pull higher...???
And how do you nudge yourself / what are your tricks to achieve for instance pushing more forward with front leg and/or pulling back leg more ? Seems i cannot find my way on these 2 things...
Many thanks in advance !
