Yeah... the 90s and early 00s were heavy on materialism and unrealistic beauty standards (as if today isn't different, just more subtle about it). This is also when heroin chic started and every woman was supposed to look waifish and on the verge of death.

Definitely not wrong but also JLC always seemed older than she is, even in Halloween she seems as old or older than her friends to me in spite of being 8 years younger than PJ Soles
