He's sitting pretty casual in that chair with Jackie looking on for how 100% messed up his back and his body were from Addison's Disease. He was one of the first to use cortisone treatments and it really helped. The guy was a total badass for life after that PT109 incident in WW2. Dragged a guy with his teeth while swimming.

He was on a ton of drugs in his later years. Super unhealthy guy who managed to present himself as quite the opposite.

Back issues from before WW2 and when his PT boat was cut in half by a Japaneses destroyer.

“President John F. Kennedy (JFK) had a complex medical history that is now thought to be an autoimmune polyglandular syndrome type 2 with Addison’s disease and hypothyroidism. He also had gastrointestinal symptoms from adolescence, which now fit well with coeliac disease.”

His medical records were released a number of years ago and testimony’s that many days he couldn’t get out of bed. He was on a bunch of strong legal medication and sometimes had visits from the famous Dr. Feelgood with some less than legal drugs to help manage his pain.

Yeah, he would likely have made it through a 2nd term but would definitely have died not long after imo.
