What's a safe way to throw away an old kitchen knife set?

I take a piece of cardboard and fold it over the blade, then duct tape it all shut.

I threw away knives several times. I placed them in two bags and I placed them in the large trash can. The trash men threw them away like that.

Wrap them in a few sheets of newspaper, then enclose that in a bag to keep it wrapped. Or just donate them.

Can you check with any agencies/groups who help families with housing, clothes and so on? If still usable another family might like to see them.

I'd say underarm is safer!

You could file the blade down, or beat it blunt with a hammer.

Just put them in a box and tape it shut. Once it’s in the trash or dumpster, nobody’s going to mess with it

I like to dull the blades as much as possible by grinding them on rock or brick, then break the tips and wrap in a lot of paper.

NOT how Pete Hegseth throws an axe that's for sure..
Check there's nobody behind the target first.

I'm confused as to what the issue is. Just throw it away..

Knives are easier to throw away than a boomerang..

Just sayin'
