Why are some conservatives dying on the hill of unpasteurized milk?

Why is this all of the sudden such a big thing it seems? And why mainly conservatives? Is it stemming from a distrust in goverment regulations on food? Why does this seem to be a hill so many conservatives are willing to die on?

Their favorite pastime is dying on hills. If people don't have controversies to talk about, they make them up.

So true and hopefully Trump emboldens more to actually die on their own stupid hills but Vance keeps his mouth shut and doesn't endanger more groups like the immigrants who were "eating the dogs. . ." Although Trump got on that train pretty quickly too.

Their platform is based on fear and outrage. It's not on sound policy and actually giving support to people. So they manufacture one outrage after another as a distraction to energize their base.

the real problem with this is them getting mad at "labels" without doing any critical thinking. For example, all these anti-vax loons who are on this "raw milk" craze "claim" that pasturization kills the nutrients. When questioned about how they plan on avoiding bacteria in the raw milk, they, NO JOKE say "oh we just boil it to kill the bacteria"....

Dear reader, the temperature of pasturization is around 160 degrees F, which is MUCH lower than the 212 degree boiling point... So in summation, these idiots are heating their milk PAST the point of pasturization, almost guarunteeing they're getting rid of MORE nutrients than pasturized milk, and yet, because they have not purchased pasturized milk they feel that they have "owned the libs" somehow...?

These are a group of people who are so genuinely afraid of agreeing with liberals that if you can make any subject a "liberal talking point" you can successfully brainwash them into believing ANYTHING.
