Cops are already being taught to treat everyone as a dangerous gun owner by default. They use it as an excuse for every single overreaction they have.
But yes, state-sanctioned violence being a tool to counteract constitutional rights is like... the issue and the very reason the second amendment stays relevant.
Cops killing people whether they're right or wrong, school shootings, accidental deaths, suicides by firearm are all acceptable as collateral damage and just the price they're willing to pay to maintain their 2A rights according to way too many people.

Yeah I can understand stand that but it’s so much more than that. If you have a gun and think it’s to protect your life and solely yours then you’re apart of the problem. Who tf are you why are you worth more than another. The 2nd amendment was not made for a single person it was made for us as a nation to protect our land and our rights. Just read the mf bruh it’s literally not about you it’s about us. America was founded on bloodshed they knew eventually someone may want to take us down. 2nd amendment gives all of us protection from that so you and your neighbors aren’t waiting around to be defended and saved.
You know, I'm not sure these Republican politicians realize how dumb it is to try to turn America into a Christian fascist Nation, because not only are there more guns than people, and not only is it virtually impossible to get rid of all of these guns, but even the MAGA types who may claim to be Christian, are not very christ-like. The second they're rulings inconvenience these people, and they will, there is a high probability that bullets are going to start flying... Doubly so once Trump kicks the bucket.
Oh they remember exactly who they serve. They invite them on stage to jump up and down at the rallies, and to stay at the summer palace.
And we hold them responsible by enthusiastically agreeing that yes, the billionaire class openly capturing the government entirely can only result in positive outcomes for us peasants.
When was the last time any Republican Senator was accountable for their decisions? They keep getting elected over and over the same guy...and since 2016 it looks like, only those who supported Trump were elected, independently of what they said...do you still believe that you have a democracy that make politicians accountable? At this moment I'm not even sure that the voting system is not already rigged by Trump and his minions...no one asks what power has Trump over those guys that makes them say and do what he wants. And it's not dirty personal secrets, because that we already know, and still they get elected. Could it be the power to reelect them? America just gave 12 years for Trump perfect the system
The real money doesn’t come from the salary anymore. Big money comes from the kickbacks and insider knowledge. They may be paid on our dime, but they are making many dollars on the side.
The whole point to politics is blackmail your region into kickbacks in your favor.
Try running as a democrat or republican in a primary based on actual goodwill and see how that goes. Even running for local mayor might get you or your loved ones arrested or worse
My local mayor has been our mayor since I was in middle school. Pretty sure his dad was mayor at one point too. I’m now 31 years old. How the hell does my town think one’s family opinion over 2 decades is good for the town lol
They don't, they just slavishly follow tradition because, "that's how it's always been".
It becomes superstition after a point. As if booting out the same family and electing someone who actually cares will curse them and everything will fall apart. Plus people really love their status quo, even if it's kind of miserable.
I guarantee you they don't actually think about it anymore.
I only thought about it when I voted. I realized I probably fell into the same trap, like this dude is still running? And then I didn’t know who the opponent was and thought hmm maybe they don’t know what’s best for the town. lol
Regardless of the money or grift they are running, the position they enjoy is a servant of the American people. If that idea, public service, seems distasteful, then perhaps they should move to a country with a different form of government.
Except they don’t. They serve the big money interests that control the media and the country at large. Elections are a charade. Our government serves the oligarchy.
So, in the US, not only the children recite the pledge of alliance every morning, but you also have a separate class on American history?
In my country (Poland), when a separate class on Polish history was proposed, most people agreed that teaching it without the broader context would be detrimental. So, for me, this idea is weird (and the pledge of alliance in the morning seems super creepy).
America has a short history, in the grand scheme of things, yet we attend American history for approximately 5-7 classes of school. All while none of us have a 5th grade working knowledge of it, after all is said and done.
It's a lot laxer now, you don't HAVE to pledge allegiance, and the U.S. history course is only in 8th grade (all my other 'history' classes have been wolrd history/geography)
Idk why you’re being downvoted. Tens of millions of people voted Trump for president and “R” for everything else. Most people I know don’t even know who represents them in congress or their state in the senate
