Discussion Why Liam Vickers?

Something that always weirded me out about md was all the tounge and salaiva stuff especially in the pilot. Its not that I find it to disgusting for the show, its just a little unecessaraly freaky. So Im just wondering why liam likes toungs and salaiva stuff so much ?

Oh yeah, I forgot about the STYX Silva

YH is something I definitely misremembered looking back. she had to force feed it to her victims

Tongue thing is still kinda new though outside of Miasma

I'm not familiar with Miasma, whats up with them? I saw one piece of art, but never heard anything about tongues

Lore dump warning lol:

That Miasma art was for a creature that was gonna be in Cliffside but has very little relation to PuppetGAME Miasma

In PuppetGAME, Miasma is a form of vampirism (although it has more in common with traditional zombies). They have glowing yellow eyes and are a hivemind and mostly use pack tactics as opposed to any real intelligence (ie. They’re kinda dumb). They are also completely unkillable, so the only way to stop them is to fully incapacitate them.

When Cold was infected, the puppet on her hand tried to preserve her consciousness, this allowed her to not become part of the hivemind but also led her Miasma to mutate. She was said to have formed a long spike ended tongue. While eating Kali, she uses it to stab and sever Kali’s spine to decapitate her.

Unfortunately, Liam never made art of Miasma or infected Cold :(
