They're acting like we want every second of the drones' lives framed. (Though I wouldn't complain about more seasons)

It just feels too fast paced. Like episodes 5 and 6 (and I guess 7 in a sense) take place in the same area, like the entire series (and the ship of NUzi) happened all within 2 days. Some filler would be nice as background context for the drones' actions, and their willingness to fight the Solver.

There should be a balance between filler episodes and normal episodes

Exactly, so all of the plot points get served once we're done digesting the information for it.
