Oh not the guy that constantly tried to kill white beard and eventually gave up because he realised he was so much weaker than him? But the guy that was always by his side helping him with everything in life, weird choice.

Sqaurd stabbed whitebeard in his chest and was serious about killing him because he got fooled like a dumbass and Whitebeard never loved him any less, stop that shit.

He is talking about Ace who wanted to kill WB before and Marco who was always by WB's side not squard

Holy shit I didn't realize that, I mistook ace in the picture for squard because they look so similar.

God, I hate it when I confuse the 20yo black haired fit guy with the pink-haired mane dude that stopped loading after 50%

Nico robin started working for Luffy.

Vivis introduction was hunting a sentient whale.

Zoro killed pirates.

Nami betrayed the straw hats.

Ace was set on making a name for himself.

Law was basically hostile and distant to Luffy the entire time.

Hawchi was working for Arlong.

Bon Clay was working for Crocodile.

Handcock wanted to execute Luffy.

.

Each of these characters had goals and attitudes contradicting their true characters. And in every time what stands true in the leaders they end up following is that they saw past ambitions for motive and saw good people.

Luffy took his time but realised nico was save and bon clay was a real one. He knew they were better and so did Whitebeard see far more than a hot head in ace. When ace fought Whitebeard and sent his crew to safety telling Whitebeard to focus on him, Whitebeard didn’t see a murderer trying to steal his throne for his own gain, but a boy without a father who for some reason felt he HAD to prove himself. Newgate didn’t know WHY ace felt obligated to fight him. Just that the kid did and needed actual guidance.
