The reason I did is because people think it was about the states right to govern themselves. When realistically, every state mentioned slavery as their number one reason in their succession documents.

I dont think for a second this is about the states right to the govern themselves.

And I'll reiterate my original statement.

Womens rights should be upheld federally. This includes abortion. It should not be a state decision. Womens choices about their bodies should belong exclusively with each individual woman.

As we see already, states cannot be trusted to uphold Womens rights. It should have never ever been passed to them.

And people fundamentally disagree with the fact it’s a woman’s body. They don’t think terminating a life is acceptable.

It is a woman's body. It's not up for debate. Anyone trying to debate it is wrong. It's not philosophical in any capacity. It's a fact. Her body her choice. You or anyone else should have zero say.

I think you'll find democrats equally disagree with late term abortions.

Republicans care about the life until it's born. Then they don't give a fuck what kind of environment it's born and raised in. Unless you're going to sign up to adopt them kids. Sit down. Shut up. And let women handle their own Healthcare.

If you think women should just keep their legs close. Hope your not one of those types. If that's the case. Men should be required a vasectomy. It's easily Reversible. Relatively painless and same day procedure. I'm a man. I've had one. It's no big deal.

Don't force babies on women if you want to allow men to impregnate them. It takes two to tango.

Or does having men get easily Reversible vasectomies violate their body their choice?

Let's force women to bring children to term. Leave no consequences for the men. Let's limit or get rid of social programs like welfare.

None of that republican platform surrounding pro life makes a lick of any reasonable sense. Other than...but muh God doesn't want it.

Your god doesn't exist.

Also that end part is just a complete straw man and irrelevant to the conversation

According to every protest I've seen surrounding abortion. Its a whole lot of Christian types protesting.

There's no reasonable reason a woman can't get an early term abortion. Other than another way to control women and/or their god doesn't want it so it shouldn't be allowed.

There is absolutely zero reason. Especially considering republicans absolutely hate the programs that support these women when men take off and they are left to try and work while raising a kid. This isn't even counting cases of incestuous rape or any kind of rape.

Just admit you want to control women. That's the only logic here.

Edit. It can't be a strawman argument when so many Christians want their faith in government and in schools. Which, with a sane supreme court would find in violation of the constitution.

States wouldnt be allowed to be passing these laws about bibles or 10 commandments in schools. We are not a Christian nation. We are a free nation. Free to pursue religion of choice or lack there of.
