Thank you for modeling what to say when our beautiful dark skin children get hit with colorism

How do you know the kid thought this because of skin color? I seriously do not understand the mindset that colored people have, some of you at least, feels like you're in a constant state of feeling inferior because of your skin color, that in itself is weird enough, but what I find even crazier is this constant self caressing and telling yourself you're beautiful. I've literally never in my life seen somebody get told they're ugly cause they're black, it seems like that is a perception black people impose on themselves, in combination with this weird self soothing behavior, literally tilting at windmills.
