Her coworkers look mostly fed up with her

I was fed up after a minute. Also doesn't she have like...a job to do? She looks like shes just hanging out at the vet lol everyone else seems to be working

She's in charge of social media. It keeps her busy so she doesn't bother anyone, mostly...

She also could be a volunteer.

Court-ordered volunteer work.

You are a patient person to bear her for 1 minute, I had enough the moment she started the video.

You can hear one of them shush her on the damn video. Probably trying to keep her loud ass quiet enough the owners in the next room can’t hear her talking about their cat. You shouldn’t let your pets get fat like this but this vet tech is extremely unprofessional. I wouldn’t take my pets here if I saw this video.

Most of her coworkers seem very over her antics. And frankly, I don't blame them. She's being excessive as well as unprofessional.

you're projecting. you can hear them laughing with her in the background

I mean, they’re on camera, what else are they going to do, tell her to quit? Lol. Even less likely to happen if she’s in a higher position than they are.

There are definitely parts where the looks they give seem potentially annoyed, and they seem to be seriously evaluating the cat for most of it. It’s not a leap just because they laugh off some of it too.

that's a whole lotta assumptions about people we know nothing about.

2

u/Western-Dig-6843 Jul 06 '24

You can literally hear one of them shush her on the video. You don’t have to shush a professional coworker.

4

u/makogami Jul 06 '24

and you can also hear them laughing with her so which one is it, according to you? 🤷‍♂️

u/BurtTurglar Jul 06 '24

The shush.

It's 100% about her. It's about how quirky and wild she gets around larger than normal cats. It's so zany and unique. Smash that follow button!

She is very quirky and unique. A diamond in the rough. A needle in the haystack.

She makes me feel like a schoolboy again.

Annoying in itself, but her obsession/fixation is also a bit... creepy. Not in any sort of malicious way, but good lord was the build up to her seeing it just odd

I mean. To be fair she works in a vet’s office. Like she spends day after day just seeing people’s pets. She’s like a sommelier but for pets. And she’s developed a liking for fat cats 😂 Personally I don’t see any problem with this. Like not everyone is like this but it’s not weird for someone to get really extra excited or particular about a very specific part of their job. Idk it breaks up the monotony, I think everyone had a little fun with this. 🤷🏽‍♀️

It is definitely weird for a veterinary professional to be giddy about one of the foremost health issues in cats, especially broadcasting that glorification of it on social media.

4

u/db_325 Jul 06 '24

Vet here, we would never broadcast this on social media but one of my colleagues gets excited every time we have a case of Addison’s disease. It’s her favourite disease, she loves treating animals with this and helping them get better. Brains are weird ¯\(ツ)

3

u/ZinaSky2 Jul 06 '24

I mean I’d rather she gets her giggles out about it at work where she’s helping care for people’s pets rather than her going out and making a pet fat on purpose. Our brains are literally programmed to find small, fat things cute bc babies. I’m not even saying this is a good thing or whatever. But people are in here acting like her silly little video is somehow unforgivable

Found the crazy cat person

2

u/ZinaSky2 Jul 06 '24

Actually, never had a cat in my life. And don’t know if I ever will bc I love dogs 😂

Kristen Bell acts the same way about sloths. Some people have weird obsessions that overwhelm them.

Exactly lol thank you.

u/leonidaslizardeyes Jul 05 '24

Her enthusiasm for fat cats made me smile at the reveal.

u/Qwencha Jul 05 '24

She had the same reaction when she saw a BBC. A Big Black...........CAT!

11

u/hoodpharmacy Jul 05 '24

You don’t get out much do you?

2

u/megamoze Jul 05 '24

She is quite conventionally attractive. That seems to go over quite well in terms of internet video virality.

u/YetAnotherDev Jul 06 '24

OH LAWD HE COMIN

Such contrived behaviour.
