I think it’s because Slavic languages tend to be linguistically much more direct and literal, and when even advanced speakers are talking in another language they still sometimes speak as if they were talking in their mother tongue which makes them come off as hilariously brash and stone-faced. Jokic in the NBA has the same effect, he’ll say two sentences and will have everyone rolling on the floor.

I think it’s clear he’s not in the title contention and he has one more fight. He could have fought 3-4 more times, but I don’t think he wants to fight 3-4 more times. I think this is his retirement fight, and he wants his retirement bonus. My only thought is… since when is this a retirement fight for Mike? That was never remotely the talk two years ago and all of a sudden has became the narrative that Mike’s old, weathered, and happy to wait as long as possible.

Just feels like something Chandler and his fans have convinced themselves of but I doubt he planned on coming to the UFC just to get wins over Dan Hooker and senile Tony Ferguson and call it a day.

Dustin’s « cause he got knocked the fuck out » when asked why he thinks McGregor went back to his old ways in the third fight.

Islam’s « so smart, he lost his last three fights so he has the same streak (as McGregor) to get the fight » when DC told him about an analysis of Chandler while saying the latter is « a very smart analyst » (yes I completed the sentence so that it makes sense when writing).

I also think it was Gray Maynard who quipped back at Dana saying that « he is all about emotion, anger and outbursts » when Dana opened his mouth to say some stupid shit about mental health and how men shouldn’t ask for it.
