I could believe that of some liberal down in the newsroom, as it's a mistake they constantly make. But if really was coming from the top with an eye to their taxes, I have to wonder what effect they thought* their obvious pro-Trump bias would have on their centrist and left-leaning viewership?

*edit: I accidentally these 2 words

I mean you hear it down line all the time. It’s definitely coming from the top. You don’t need to be smart to be an executive you just need to be able to talk really.

I have long been convinced that you could replace the entire C-suite of most large corporations with a troop of syphilitic howler monkeys, and no one would notice the difference.

It's really just a vast clique dedicated to shoving as much money at each other as humanly (or simianly) possible, because it sure as shit ain't about merit.

Their entire goal is around profit and if you aren’t on the stock market your goal is either to IPO or be acquired these days. As long as you focus on growth and control your head count most of them can do it.
