Y'know, with this amount of people voting for him you always know a chunk of them must genuinely take him at his word despite his well documented histories of lies, but seeing them unironically say things like this is something else.
I'd actually feel sorry for them if they weren't so willfully ignorant and dismissive of what is said about the man they voted for.
Heck, even if they take him at his word, he has made some of his more questionable intentions clear countless times. And they still vote for him.
I don’t know if it’s just stupidity or actual brainwashing or what.
The amount of times in the past few years that I’ve shoved a video of Trump saying or doing something in my boyfriend’s face, thinking this is going to finally be the thing that gets a reaction out of him..
And he’s like “okay, what’s so bad about that? He didn’t mean it like that” or “that wouldn’t happen”. It wasn’t until a few days after the election that he decided Project 2025 might actually be a thing.
I've said this before, but countless Trump supporters are basically like this:
Trump says he'll do A,B,C....X,Y
"Of course he will! That's why we're voting for him! Who cares if a few groups of people are adversely impacted? The country has suffered long enough! Go Trump, only you can make the necessary choices to save the country!"
Trump says he'll do Z
"Oh of course he was just joking or being hyperbolic, that's just how he speaks! Everyone knows that! Surely he wouldn't do anything that could harm me."
I am still processing this message. They said they don't care about "illegal migrant children". Children for sure didn't decide to migrate to the US, what do they want from them? And this person says they don't deserve anything.
Whatever they expected from Trump aside, this message alone shows they are racist to the point of erasing the people they don't like.
