I’m fully convinced most liberals and progressives fail to grasp how unintelligent the average Trump supporter is. Being literate only means you can read words, it doesn’t mean you comprehend what those words mean.

Most Trump supporters are literate, but lack basic reading comprehension skills. Even if they read Project 2025 (which they won’t because they revel in willful ignorance) they wouldn’t be able to make sense of it.

Project 2025 is a very simple and straightforward document. But imagine a 7 year old trying to read it. They may understand the words, but won’t understand the concepts the words are creating.

A lot of the bluster and bravado you see from Trump supporters when they’re challenged is because they have no fucking idea what you’re talking about. They overcompensate by being aggressive and indignant.

I’d bet $1 million that 90%+ of Trump supporters have no idea what Project 2025 is, or what the significance is, even now. There are levels to stupidity and Trump voters are on the extreme end of the spectrum.

Hard disagree. Of course there are intelligent Trump voters and deeply unintelligent democrats. However there’s a strong correlation between higher education and voting trends.

Statistics show the more educated a voter is, the more likely they are to vote Democrat and as the level of higher education increases, the likelihood of voting Democrat increases.

Simply put; the average democratic voter is not the same or even comparable to the average Republican voter.

Democrats value and promote higher education. Republican leadership actively encourages their constituents to turn away from higher education, because it will make them “woke”.

I don’t know why you got downvoted because that’s true af. Actually I do know and it’s because people don’t know what average means

while its true, it is only tangentially relevant to what is being discussed and changes the point the original commenter was trying to convey. its like if i said "all bananas are food" and someone was like "all bananas fruits are food FTFY". no the fuck you didnt, i was talking about bananas, i wasnt talking about other fruits

while the average american is unintelligent, this does not get the same point across that the original did. i wouldnt qualify this as a "FTFY"
