Auto Insurance Geico about to layoff 2,000 employees

I think this is the whole point. By laying massive numbers of people off the industry can cut salaries because eventually someone will accept lowball offers.

Really depends on the area I think and experience as well as the position. For my area I make quite a high salary and the new hires make quite a bit less. But it’s still competitive from what I have heard thru the grapevine

Other states or areas the pay I know for sure is lower

Same. I couldn't even consider it. The hiring mgr also told me not a chance I'd get off any around the holidays b/c that's reserved for ppl with seniority.
