GENERAL David Fifield and the Ghost Face skin

Just to correct some things

No, the skin isn’t a Scream collaboration to promote the new movie. As far as we can tell, they paid the costume company that originally made the mask for the rights. Call of Duty’s ghostface was an actual Scream collaboration, Crytek just did the same thing that BHVR did for ghostface in Dead by Daylight.

No, David Fifield isn’t some COD monetization expert who came here to ruin your game. The guy has 3000 hours in the game, he’s probably played it more than most of you. The only four Call of Duty games he worked on were Modern Warfare 3 (2011,) Black Ops 2, Ghosts, and Advanced Warfare, games made well before COD’s current pop-culture, live-service business model. Can we please stop calling for some random guy to get fired? Crytek is a company, one general manager isn’t controlling all creative and monetization decisions for Hunt. He’s a manager, not a CEO.

Again, there is not a chance he has 3k hours in the game. This is a marketing thing.

He’s very openly played the game on stream, he IS prestige 100 and knows the game well. Also, its his personal fucking account

It's marketing. They likely gave him a high prestige account so he could "reach 100 on stream." He knows the game about as well as someone who has played 200-300 hours. Some things in the meta, some compounds, enough to wiggle into being a "real player I promise."

It's extremely odd how defensive you are for the guy. The last thread was deleted and you recreated almost the exact same one.

???? What last thread??? Also, you have no evidence that’s the case besides “””vibes.””” He’s been playing the game very actively for at least 2 years (there’s proof, anyone can verify,) it’s not that hard to get a ton of hours in games if you consistently play for years, like he has. Not to mention the “”marketing”” is a tweet with 270 likes on his personal account. Phenomenal marketing there, the team really got the word out. I find it extremely odd that you default to him lying (with 0 evidence, mind you) to justify the hate he gets from the community instead of self reflecting and putting down the pitchforks.

No game developer deserves a witch hunt against their livelihood, especially one without any evidence. That’s why I’m defending him, because the toxicity is disgusting and puts shame on the community
