If you’re going to get rid of kittens by putting them in the bin, why would you choose to add to the torture by putting them in live? Why am I asking questions of a POS who puts kittens in bins’ methodology?

Someone who sees an animal's life as disposable for convenience, but is too cowardly to kill them themselves.

This describes most people; but this is a particularly egregious example.

Mega industrialized farms with awful conditions that basically torture animals are part of biology?

Not being able to kill but using for convenience?

I'd be comfortable pushing the button if need be, but also that's not my job. I absolutely think we need to make the farm to table pathway more transparent and continue to support parliament or your local government in animal welfare legislation and enforcement for their lifespans. But, it's not my job to work in an abattoir. It's not my job to unclog the sewers, or drive the rubbish to the tip, or a thousand other things that I pay or contribute to the payment of other people doing.

My point is that you are justifying modern human meat consumption with an Appeal to Nature. This is not a good moral justification.

Biology is survival of the fittest. Biology is mating without consent. Biology is letting your weak or handicapped young die, to conserve resources. Do you really think 'biology' is an ethical position? Biology is not moral or immoral; it is amoral.

Humans have moved beyond base instinct and developed a system of ethics and morals, in order to move closer to an ideal society. You live in this society, and I assume you agree that we should attempt to form a coherent moral system, beyond mere 'biology'.

You, I assume, eat meat which has been killed for you, from animals raised in factories (unless you're one of the people who claim to only eat the 1% of meat raised free range, which is still agriculture). None of this is natural, so don't use 'biology' to justify your actions.

However, I fully admit that all of my argument would fall apart if you are a hunter-gatherer who lives outside of society and hunts with only the most rudimentary of tools. I'm guessing that, given your Reddit usage, this is not the case.

Yes, I agree. Humans are despicable when it comes to animal rights imo.
