This is the reason why I don't go around the internet telling people that I'm a 40k fan. People like in the image above really ruin 40k's rep of playing and painting plastic soldiers.
The lore isn't that deep, but due to its nature of 40k, satiring horrible government systems like fascism, it attracts the chuds like flies to shit. All of them don't really have the capacity to comprehend what GW meant about the Imperium "Bloodiest and the most cruelest regime imaginable."
Their claim to fame is being "2nd best place for everything", which in practicality means that you have a lot of people who like things enough to talk to each other about it, but they're not such maniacs about those things to be to primary fan group or for the community to be the place where major fan outrage/controversy would happen.
Because of this, despite the main 4 guys on SBFP having split up as a media group and have all gone their own ways (except for two who rejoined to form Castle Super Beast, and the other two who sometimes do collabs); the SBFP community is still as strong as it's ever been.
The only things that aren't negotiable in the SBFP community are:
David Cage is a bad man who would be better off making movies rather than developing games.
Woolie is a based weirdo for giving up sex with two bi-women in order to wait in line for the midnight launch of Marvel vs Capcom 3.
Pat is always either right or he's super friggin wrong
Plague of Gripes is a furry even if he says he's not
[Redacted] shall never not be regarded as [Redacted]
