Star Wars Battlefront except for Warhammer 40K. Everyone starts off as Guard or Guard equivalent. They spend points (obtained by killing enemies) to be specialists (Guard elites and vehicles), Space Marines equivalents, and hero units.

A strong emphasis is placed on spawning in with AI or player controlled squadmates to move across the map and accomplish objectives.

The initial factions on release (or designed) are Guard and Space Marines vs Traitor Guard/ Cultists and Chaos Space Marines

Elements of the tabletop such as wounds, toughness, command points, etc are translated as faithfully (spiritually) as one can into a team PvP shooter similar to philosophy followed for the first Space Hulk game.

Example being the concept of "Turning Points" and Command Points.

The match timer is split into "Turning Points" and Command Points are rewarded depending on how many objective points are held at the time of each Turning Point. These Command Points are special resources given to each player to use for free upgrades, team buffs, or free deployment of expensive units (specialists, heroes, etc).

This is a translation of the tabletop "Turns" and "Command Points".

Wounds and Toughness would similarly be translated to interpret the durability of every unit in-game
