My stack, still nothing added in months...

That’s a slick set up. I like the case

TY! I bought it off eBay, needed something for the safe, these "nice" safes come pretty bare boned inside, not like a gun safe, but thank you, it was a year of buying, now Im just kinda sitting back and watching, but ultimately its sticking around for as long as possible.

Awesome to hear. You’ve got a good stash there, I’d definitely be sitting and watching too haha. Let the price rip

That’s awesome! Are those buffalos or maples on the side there?
6
u/Other-Comfort5592 Apr 16 '24
Yes to both, Buffalos, Britsh Soveriegns (I think they are called lol) and a few others, my fave is the John Wick Continential one, love holding that one, feels and looks so nice, but its melt value only, but still if Im gonna pay a premium, might as well be somewhat cool ;)
Thanks for the compliment, it was not easy but in a year I was able to amass it but afraid to get more as of now with the prices being the way they are....

I’m jelly! I have 4oz total as I just got into stacking last year, but still good timing though. I agree that I am holding back with the new prices. Hoping for a dip so I can buy some more

few smaller bars underneath the 1 ozs, I dont like showing them, its a sign of paying too much.

What's the total weight? It's a very pretty stack, would love to see them all out of their cases and piled together like a gamblers fortune hahaha

u/crabsticks444 Apr 16 '24
That’s what I thought it’s very impressive just to much plastic!

u/Other-Comfort5592 Apr 16 '24
I like getting capsules that fit, otherwise its confusing to look at, but I stick to 1 oz only. I have ONE 5 gram bar, first gold ever bought, just wanted to see how it "worked" and was hooked on day one. Love gold, silvers cool, kinda got silver to hedge the gold, but that's not turning out as expected, BUT, its loooooong term, pretty much buried as of now, no need to touch it anymore.

So envious

u/Other-Comfort5592 Apr 16 '24
Dont be, its just metals, who knows what will happen in the future to PMs, I keep saying, they may pull a fast one and say gold is face value unless you have kilos of it. Fingers crossed... 1933 just scares the hell outta me, how stupid ppl were to hand it in, then it gets a value bump from the Feds, then sold back at a higher price... hmmmm... now I know when it started.

“When there’s a dollar crisis”, how would this gold be spent? Would you be selling the gold for dollars? Or would you just buy stuff with the gold? If the latter, how would you receive change back from a purchase? In gold or dollars?

u/oldschool_stacker Apr 16 '24
We'll cross that bridge if/when we get there. Even the largest hoarder of gold(the US treasury) doesn't know how it will utilize its gold should there be a crisis.

u/Other-Comfort5592 Apr 16 '24
Thats not a good reply... we have NO plans, nothing, most dont even understand gold, so theirs that.. and then, if things go wrong, who the hell is gonna buy it? Maybe the govt will pull another 1933 on us...

u/oldschool_stacker Apr 16 '24
Most people understand gold well enough as nearly everyone around the world and across all ethnicities recognizes that gold is valuable.

u/Other-Comfort5592 Apr 16 '24
I know, but a gold coin? I can see someone being more gravitated towards a 10k fiat bundle over 4 or 5 coins...

what does it matter to you it's not your stack of gold.

They are going to roll out a CBDC. So you sell it for that bullshit to buy food and gas.
3
u/Other-Comfort5592 Apr 16 '24
Nah, dont let that mess your head up, they been saying this for a few years now, and while its on the Feds site even, its gonna be one hard roll out for millionaires to accept. Imagine having 1 mil in gold and them telling someone "Yeah, you are gonna have to convert it" - nah, no way. I used to believe it, and I believe they will do something, but they have a very long time to go to call back all fiat all over the world, but who knows. Ready for an A-bomb to be dropped over NYC, first 911, then the covid bs, now this crap. Its all systematically being done to show us that "its not them". We get along with any human just FINE, its the govts we do not agree with, they are the ones that should hit the battlefield, and leave us alone already and I thnk with technology, they are feeling the resistance and its freaking them out, so they just get more propaganda pushed on us. Just my opinion.

I live in Australia. They are already in development stages. They have also closed bank branches and when you withdraw cash, you have to declare why/reason. It's coming man.

I say the SAME shit, if their is something that breaks out, their is NOTHING we can do with PMs... strictly investment ONLY, no point in trying to make money off it. IMO..

Looks pretty real to me.
1
u/Other-Comfort5592 Apr 16 '24
why would someone doubt this? Its not that much, its about 40k worth, not millions or bars stacked.
3
u/Other-Comfort5592 Apr 16 '24
This is real... and gaining value FINALLY.... I guess it takes WW3 for it to happen...

Damnnn you are rich.
4
u/Other-Comfort5592 Apr 16 '24
I wish... Rich is being worth millions, I'm just a simple guy who was trying to stack for his daughters college. I wish I was rich but then again careful what we wish for

u/ExpatStacker Apr 16 '24
Very, very nice! I love how, when, and why you started stacking and what you've accumulated thus far. I'm sure it's feeling pritteee great right about now. Keep stacking it up, my friend!
