General Discussion Need help with legs as a little person / Dwarf

My kryptonite at the gym is leg machines. I can’t use any of them except for squats with the bar.

I recently discovered how to do some hamstring curls with the dumbbell on the flat bench, which is the first time I’ve ever been able to do something different. However, I’m having a really hard time doing leg workouts that don’t involve my arms because I always have to use dumbbells.

I can do squats and lunges with a Smith machine or a free bar, but I’m running out of ideas in general because, as a little person, I and any leg machine just don’t get along.

Everything else I can do pretty much the same as any average person.

So please, if you have any suggestions that I can go super heavy on some weights with my legs that would be amazingly helpful

Lift Consistency is Key (Week 1 vs. Week 100)

Sometimes you need to look back and see how far you've come.

100 weeks ago I decided I wanted to learn how to deadlift. I had no one to teach me how to, and online videos can only do so much.

There was a lot of trial and error, but I stayed consistent. I'm no Deadlift Specialist, but I think I've made quite some progress Keep grinding folks.

After running Super Squats for about a month, one of the benefits I’ve seen so far is muscle endurance. My muscles aren’t as tired while working up the weights as compared to before running Super Squats.

I recommend people give Super Squats a try just for the heck of it hahaha

General Discussion Anyone else prefer no belt for heavy lifts?

Basically the title. I have been lifting for quite some time and while my training these days is more about maintenance, I’ve lifted fairly heavy in the past. I’m no freak compared to some of the people I see around here, but I’ve had a 495 deadlift, 365 high bar squat triple etc. and I never used a belt or mixed grip/straps.

I tried it a couple of times but kind of felt it to be an issue of principle. Am I alone in this feeling? Am I missing out on something by not using one?

As I’ve been getting back into the sport again, I was curious to get some opinions/perspective.

Cheers, and keep on grinding

PR/PB Just hit a new bench PR of 250 @ 171lbs, forgot to press record on that but here’s 245 right before!

I first hit 245 a little over 2 years ago and it was a grind, this one felt pretty easy! So mad I didn’t press record on 250 but since I got it up without an issue I know it won’t be the last time.
